Who's your favorite celebrity that has died in your lifetime?

With all the Whitney Houston threads... it got me thinking. What celebrity death has affected me the most. For a lot of people in our generation it's probably Kurt Cobain. But for me, it was Chris Farley. Even in the crappiest SNL skit or movie he was in he almost never failed to make me laugh. RIP Chris.

All the pro wrestlers that have died in the past decade would get my vote here. So many lives ending way earlier than they should have and some under bizzare situations like Owen Hart's fall and Chris Benoit's suicide.

Funny thing about Wrestling... I haven't really watched it since I was a kid but every time I see a Documentary about a wrestler I always find myself completely fascinated by it. Wrestling might be "fake" but I have a ton of respect for all those guys. I wouldn't want to do their job no matter how much I was getting paid.

Lots of great people being named in this thread. But man... when Layne Staley died it pissed me off that it got so little attention. I've always considered Alice in Chains my favorite band to ever come out of Seattle. Layne was absolutely brilliant.

Pat Tillman... I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't know much about him until after he died. I saw his Documentary and I was unbelievably impressed. There should be a picture of Pat Tillman next to the word HERO in the dictionary.

In my lifetime, nothing shook the world like the death of Princess Diana.

I don't know if it had the same impact in America as over here in Aus.

As for my personal favourite - I dunno.
