    I would think it would be possible for a well known private university to bend the rules if you were a direct decedent. It would be bad PR if a founders decedent was rejected. It wouldn't be guaranteed to work though.

    I would say yes.
    I know of some kids that went to school free because their parents worked at that school.
    And another one that worked for a state school and they got free if they went to that school or
    half price to another state school.
