Is the Atlantis Casino in Bahamas a good Sports Book?

    Just curious.

    Says its run by Cantor.

Anybody ever bet on games down there?

They have remodeled in the last couple of years - its much bigger and nicer than it used to be. I have mailed them a couple of winning tickets and got paid promptly which is always a good thing and high marks in their favor.

Have never tried to bet a total or more than a grand on a game so I cant speak to the individual game limits

They only let you ML parlay for games between +400 and -400 and the max bet is 400 but max payout on ML parlays is 600. Makes no sense, but I don't make the rules.

    Spread max payout is 25000.

I was there last weekend and check was cashed without a problem.

B- book in my opinion, 5Dimes much better, but not a brick&mortor like this joint. I would rank them at A- if they had Svedka tequilla instead of smirnoff runm. I was betting 5 dollar parlays and they didn't give me no drink tickets, not very special of a place, but payed out only took 2 days.

I actually went to Walmart and asked the travel person there how much it would be to go back to there for the superbowl.
It was 650 for RT flights and 5 nights...That's all inclusive bruh.

The Tv's werent that good. they were RCA flat screens, but they weren't HD. So it was like watching football at my grandpas house in Idaho.

Superbowl, the have a free 10 dollar parlay, minimum 3 team, max payout of 5 bucks. Seems like a good deal, but I'm not much of a gambler, ya dig?

I would much rather bet from home at bovadas website.

My wife won't let me go to Punta Cana again, last time we were there, we saw prostitutes. She did not trust me with that type of temptation. I told her that I needed to go get the maintenance guy, because I clogged the toilet, and I ran to the front desk and asked for the prostitutes and he looked at me like I was crazy. If I knew that those types of women were in that area, I would of read how to procure one of them beforehand. Anyways, came back to the bathroom and pulled out the towel I shoved down the toilet.

Wife is a smart cookie, not to trust me.

I love the sportsbook and Casino. Just wish they stayed open 24/7.

I'd bet you haven't visited the 700+ islands. Some of the best fishing, food and waters in the world are in the Bahamas. You won't find clearer water and beaches anywhere else in the world.

When I lived in Miami, I went to many of these islands you mentioned. I agree they are pretty nice, but OP was talking about the Atlantis resort in Nassau. Nassau is a trashy place as well as Freeport. We can agree to disagree on being some of the best beaches in the world though as it is all relative on what beaches "around the world" that you have visited.

I've been all over the world. The Maldives are probably the best for me then maybe Bora Bora, even parts of Australia but who the hell wants to fly for 2 days? I don't care for western Europe outside of Sardinia or Africa. Parts of Brazil, Central America is okay but the best scuba and beaches are in the Caribbean for me. Cuba, Turks, southern Bahamian islands are the best. Visibility is spotless 100 feet deep. If you know where to go, you can find the most pristine beaches, some where people haven't touched in years.

Atlantis is on Paradise Island. There is nothing trashy about PI. You can totally avoid Nassau if you don't like it. I make sure to frequent several restaurants in Nassau though. If you like fresh fish, spiny lobster, conch, crab, peas n rice, macaroni, boil fish, johnny cake, guava duff, etc., you have a lot of choices in Nassau. If you're not into island food then you're better off just staying on PI.

Atlantis is over priced but it's a perfect vacation spot. The water park is awesome (I'll lazy river for hours), they have a kids zone that will keep the kids entertained all evening, while you and yours can dance, drink, gamble into the night. The battle for Atlantis bball tournament is an awesome event, where 8 top ncaa teams were there. It's the perfect venue for a college team to take its players but you as a fan can meet and see many of the up coming stars in once place.

If I'm just going someplace to gamble, it's hard to beat Vegas. Cheap flights, hotels and a variety of casino's to choose from. Unfortunately, Vegas just doesn't have the kids stuff. If I'm bringing the family, I don't know too many other places like Atlantis where they can be entertained while I gamble.

I like the Bahamas, good people that like to party....Some good casinos/resorts, was on Cable Beach a few years ago

Atlantis is cool for a family vacation or even with some friends although havent been there in years.....That water speed slide through the shark tank is pretty crazy if they even still have it

Played blackjack with Mike Vick at the Atlantis Casino when I was in high school and he was on the Falcons

Also saw Chipper Jones, John Smoltz, Andruw Jones, and TJ Duckett (Bet you haven't heard that name in years)

Guess lots of athletes are always there because I've heard of others seeing a bunch of random ones
