Would it help if handguns were banned?
people that hunt dont use handguns.
I think less people would get murdered.
Not many walk into banks, schools, etc with a rifle , machine gun or whatever.

Getting rid of guns of all kinds would help. But getting rid of them is not the answer to this problem as people will find new ways to cause harm. We re-elected politicians who thought it was a BENEFIT to this society to have assault rifles, that should tell us where we have to look for a solution as a country.

its the wild wild west out there. You need a gun to protect yourself and your family from these sick twisted fuk's who are willing to shoot innocent children for no reason. If a sane person had a gun in the area of the shooting, then there would be less children dead from that incident. Crazy criminals will always find a way to arm themselves no matter what the gun laws are. So you can be a fish in the barrel, or you can be a barracuda, it is entirely up to you.
Sadly Sammy some people think that way.
A ban on hand on handguns would have the same result as prohibition did on alcohol.

Would it help vehicular deaths if vehicles are banned? Probably.

I know you're being sarcastic but guns make it easier to kill. If you're running around with a knife or axe you can't kill as many people.

Most schools have police present, but it's only one between multiple schools (if they have one at all). I think we'll see an increase in police presence at the school level as a security measure.
You guys are crazy if you dont think gun control would stop these shooting. Of course the killings would happen a different way, both sides have great arguments and there is no way to please both.
Cocaine is illegal but I dont see that being kept out of America. Handguns will find a way into the hand of those seeking them the same way drugs do. It will probably give gangs and druglords another stream of revenue if handguns were outlawed
Just adding fuel to the growing fire here but how many lives have handguns saved vs how many have they taken in the last 5 years? yes protection is important but it seems like people are abusing this right and the death toll of the innocent is outweighing the lives protected. As well as protecting yourself sometimes leads to murder chargers, Zimmerman. Of course it would help, help keep law abiding citizens from protecting themselves. Hows the war on drugs working out? Exactly. You can't stop people from getting what they want. I conceal carry everyday and I pray I never have to use it but if I'm ever in a situation where eminent danger is closing in on my environment, I will not hesitate, under any circumstance to use lethal force.
This goes beyond guns. Typical Libs always blaming something except the person responsible. When some nutjub is committed to do something like this, they're going to find a way to get it done. Even if that means knocking off a gun shop or stealing from a relative. You want to blame something, blame the current society. All these kids with single parents now. No structure. No nothing. I look at 100 people between the ages of 18-22, and 90% of them are complete idiot punks.
