More hits than Beatles, Beach Boys, Elvis and the stones--combined

session band that called themselves the Funk Brothers. About 10 or 12 black and white musicians that backed up almost every soul hit during the Motown era. Some still alive, James Jamerson and a few other huge names belonged to this group.

Just finished watching again "standing in the shadow of Motown" on sundance. You should watch it if you can. A few of the remaining members played to such great hits like "what becomes of the broken hearted" Joan Osborne sang that song on this show and I think it was just as good as the original.

Amazon instant video for $1.99. Sundance or IFC doesn't have it scheduled in the near future.
