What is the Best Kind of Cigar to Get Here in the Bahamas?

Hey guys I landed in the Bahamas 7pm ET last night....2-0 in betting their sports book right now which is cool (up $87) but their sports book sucks. Max bet they let you place at the Wyndham is only $50 per bet...I hit Braves ML and Pirates ML (soon).

Only ML bets are allowed also and no more than 2 team parlays .

But I lost all my winnings playing $2 roulette....was up about $60 bucks lost it all on 8 reds in a row then played another $80 and got that up to $115 but within 2 hours lost all that too.

Food is hella expensive here gonna stick to ordering in Dominos pizza for 3 days and probably some Sbarros too. Only gonna spend the $20 a day on breakfast buffet cause that's the most important meal of the day and may one day of lobster and steak dinner for about $60.

But my question here today is they have a cigar shop in the lobby area and I was wondering what is the best quality cigar I should blow $25 on?

Cohibas, Monte Cristo, Romeo y Julieta (made in Habana I noticed on the box and smelled real good too). Not sure if Monte Cristos or Cohibas were Cuban cigars though.

What is a reasonable price on these and which is the best quality one I should smoke after a steak and seafood dinner?

PS -Weather here is beautiful, just a tad too humid and gonna hit up Senor Frogs right after I go to the gym and pool out here. Made a little video on my phone but due to roaming charges hard to post here. Plus no Youtube account.

If your looking to drink, get some of the native rum. It's real cheap, like 10$ a fifth. Brought back two bottles when I went in march. Went to a liquor store right by Senior Frogs in Nassau.

A Monte Cristo cigar from Habana is the best cigar I've ever smoked. I bought it in Nassau.

They are each being sold for $25-$26 a cigar.

Wish I could sneak some back to the states.

Are you in Nassau? I'm pretty sure you're allowed to wager at the Pegasus Sportsbook in Atlantis even if you are not a guest. Limits are much higher (around 3-5 dimes if I remember).

Those aren't real Cubans over there. Guaranteed. They don't have them.

But regardless, those are all pretty good smokes. Of your selections mentioned, I'd go with a Romeo y Julieta Churchill. It shouldn't be too pricey, and it'll last you all night.

I am going to give you the greatest cigar you can get in the Bahamas.

    Cohiba Behike BHK-52

You're going to pay 22-28 bucks for it. I did when I was down there in April.

It is an unbelievable smoke. I love the Padron 45, but this BHK-52 is just about as good a cigar as you can get.

That's all I got till the next trip to Cuba. Too many counterfeits out there. I don't even smoke just like the packaging so can't tell you which ones "taste" the best.

I asked the guy at the cigar shop he said the Cohibas were the best. Monte Cristos a close second. I asked if they sold White Owls they said no.

Another Cigar shop in between the Sheraton and Wyndham is selling the same cigars for only $15 a pop. I will get it from there.

Hey all about the $$$$ Atlantis is clear across town pal. Went to Senor Frogs last night met some cute girls from University of South Carolina there. The guy they were with was kind of an idiot....he sounded just like Kenny Powers or whatever that inbred with the jerry curl's name is on tv (he isn't even that funny).

Place was alright for a Sunday night just a little slow...so I decided to take a cab to Atlantis. What a gorgeous looking hotel I gotta say. Saw the aquarium and everything...place was packed with smokin hot girls too for a Sunday night.

It's like a 22 minute ride to get there though from my hotel and would cost me $25 cab fare.

    All About the $$$ -

Atlantis hotel and casino is clear across town pal. With baseball done till Thursday and I leave Friday at 3pm ET....I would love to take the trek back to Atlantis from my hotel room but it will cost me 22 minutes and $26 in cab fare pal. Not really worth it if there is nothing to bet on till Friday.

If you guys can give me 2-3 really solid bets that will hit from now till I have to leave on Friday at 3 pm ET I will only then make the trek down to there sportsbook to place $180 on each wager.

i know its across town i got married at what is now the sheraton it used to be a radisson hotel. but if you wanted to place decent bets atlantis is the way to go since they will accept 500 wagers on baseball sides and totals( at least they were when i was there 2 months ago). personally i say just hang out and party maybe shoot over there thursday during the day and place some baseball wagers.

we are from ny almost every where you go is going to be slower than us especially in the caribbean. ask the cabbies or people in the hotel about thursday night. there is a spot there i forgot the name of it where its ladies night and there are some ladies there you really should be able to score there . on wed senor frogs was supposed to be good it was dead when i went. the key to senor frogs is if the cruise ships are in, if they are in it has some slammin chicks looking for a good time, if not then you are shit out of luck the locals will let you know if the cruise ships are in

Dirty Sanchez was kidding. White owls are a cheap brand. They have no value until you break them open, and stuff with weed.

Don't buy anything Cuban--prices are inflated, especially to U.S tourists. Same seeds, same climate, and it will cost you a hell of a lot less, but anything Dominican won't leave you dissapointed. Plus, you'll never have to worry about whether what you bought is really a Cohiba, or whether they simply slid off the rings and slid them on a Dominicant or similar cigar.

NY, you can't trust anyone down there btw. Cohibas are the victim of knockoffs worse than golf glubs, fake rolex's, and anything else. My friend owed a cigar shop in Utah and would regularly make trips down there...if you are interested in buying Cohibas, take a pic of the ring and several of the cigars, I'll have him look the pic over and see if he can spot the tell-tale signs of a fake. Don't get hustled bro! Also, take some pics of some chics in string bikinis and share with us all!

Great advice Higher Element and All About the $$$.....last night the internet was down at my hotel so I could't report back. I layed in a hammock for two hours and watched the sunset off the beach then went swimming till about 10:30 pm at night.

    Higher Element -

I can take pictures of the cigars but I am not sure how to transfer them from my phone to the internet on SBR. I don't have my laptop with me so I cant put it on my hard drive then transfer like I normally would. I am using the computer provided in the hotel lobby where I stay. I will just have to buy a few and hope for the nest. The Cohibas smelled really good though.....Romeo y Julietas they said were lighter but still good. I will take pictures of them and post on SBR when I get back....let me know if they were real.

Martin - I will ask if they have BHK-52's.

    All About the $$$ -

Thanks for the heads up. Will find out if Senor Frogs will be hoppin (no pun intended) tomorrow night. I have a sub marine trip underwater from 12:30-5:30 pm though tomorrow. Today is Bahamas Independence Day so there will be some stuff going on downtown or at my hotel poolside.

Thursday night at Atlantis I plan on going to the club Aurora up in the casino area and partyinh it up before I have to leave on Friday by 3pm.

dude dont go to club aurora its like 50 bucks to get in there they dont accept cash everything has to be paid for with a card. i dont really trust that system. foreign country handing my card over to doorman and different bartenders-- no thanks. ask the cabbies they will send you in the right direction. but if you do wind up going to atlantis there is a regular bar in the casino its is roped off they have a dj or a band there playing on certain nights i believe it is free to go in there depends on the night. enjoy the rest of your trip and bring back a bottle of henny white

Yea it's called the Dragon Ultra Lounge. Like I said Sunday night I was at the casino in the Atlantis and a lot of cute broads were there. Some big DJ was playing the whole joint was loud and alive. Played some craps that night and won some smokin hot black chick like $300....I didn't roll a 7 for like twelve straight rolls.
