    Personally I like to wear a white tee if it's new or fairly new so I don't have that bacon neck. If not, either go bare chested or wife beater just to feel comfortable.

    All depends on the shirt type...what is the occasion? The thickness/transparency of the shirt...oxford or traditional? Collar?

    A man's wardrobe is serious business

    If you're out a Buffalo Wild Wings for beer and watching the games with friends go with a white under...relaxed. If you're out at a club...collar and fit - tucked vs untucked come into play and solid blue/black vs striped.....and of course if it's business casual or a cigar/martini bar definitely no shirt visible at the neck line...etc.

    Depends. If you're wearing nice jeans and shoes with a button up a white tee might look out of place. If you're wearing slacks the white tee could tie together nicely. Identify the ambiance of the place you're going and your decision will be easier.

    Buy an expensive V-neck (not Hanes) undershirt—that way you can leave the top button open and your chest will be exposed, yet whatever shirt you wear will look better. Nice slacks, matching socks, expensive, well-shined shoes (like mirrors). Expensive gold watch, matching gold ring on left hand; gold bracelet on opposite arm. Though you could go with JJ's suggestion: Mock turtle neck, nice sport coat and the above. I read a post about the last scene from Casino, and I'll never forget when "Lefty" had that Piaget wristwatch. Saw that watch in the Bahamas in the mid-1980s when there with the wife; it was $75,000 to $85,000. Nothing like that cheap one someone is selling now in Las Vegas. There is an old saying: You can't change where you were born or under what circumstances, but you can always dictate how you look to others. Another old saying: When a man is in trouble, he reaches for the wallet; a woman—for the mirror!

    I have to dress "business casual" at the hospital I work at. I also have to wear a lab type coat over my clothes, and its some polyester thing that doesn't let me breathe a lot. So I usually go bare because another layer just gets too hot for my liking
