I had a google redirect virus for a while.

The ONLY thing that has managed to get it to stop (and is worth running to make sure your system is clean anyway) is combofix: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/comb...o-use-combofix

I had tried all the other programs before that (spybot, malware, avg, avast etc etc) including removing it manually from my registry. This was the only thing that got my computer running normally again.

You may need to run it a few times and the website talks it up as being a lot more hardcore than it is.

Had the same thing and combo fix was the only thing that fixed it too. Got it from the streaming sports site during NFL .

I think it was probably the same for me. It was on my work computer, so definitely not porn. I can only assume it was from streaming sports.

Honestly guys, if you have tried the commercial programs, which I imagine you have if you are reading this thread, then try combofix.

I had that one for a while. it is a nightmare and extremely hard to get rid of. Most of the anti-spyware malware things don't work.
