World Series of Poker Tournaments Kick off in Las Vegas

    https://www.usnews.com/news/sports/a...f-in-las-vegas

By REGINA GARCIA CANO, Associated Press

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The 2018 edition of the World Series of Poker opened Tuesday in Las Vegas with 78 high-stakes card tournaments expected to again draw tens of thousands of players and break an attendance record thanks in part to regulatory changes.

New to this series will be the use of a big blind ante format for some events and the participation of New Jersey poker players from the comfort of their homes in online tournaments. Buy-ins for the 50-day tournament with millions of dollars in prize money and gold championship bracelets range from $365 to $1 million.

Sounds like sharp is playing the horse. Thought big business said he was playing razz. I'm sure some of the Vegas guys will play the deepstack dailies

I'll be playing the $365 and $1k online events from New Jersey. Possibly the $3k if I cash anything decent in the other two.

I haven't watched much of it Rudy, I saw Doug Polk donk away a lot of chips with pocket tens to negraneau's pocket Queens. I expected helmuth's table would be strong and I predicted fedora holz would make it to the final table with Negraneau.

Elio Fox won event#2(10k NL super turbo bounty) and I see he is now the chip leader in event#5(100k NL high roller). Heck of a start to the WSOP for him!

WSOP: A great event for the games

I begans playing at the WSOP in 1989 and have been fascinated by it ever since. Love the side-games and satellites. Seldom play a tournament. Don't have the energy. Need lots to keep patience-attentiveness- and Discipline for all the hours needed. I wonder if age has anything to do with it?

Also, being nice when involved pays a little extra. Gene Manatowauk

    Playing Event #48 - $1500 Monster Stack

I’m not out there that long, so this will be the only event I play. If I bust out, will just stick with cash games after that.

Joe Cada tearing it up. He final tabled the first open event ($10k turbo) and then won the 2nd open event ($3k shootout). Sick run for the '09 Series champ.

Played the $365 online event yesterday and made the money with a healthy stack only to lose shortly after with AA to QQ all in preflop.
