    Re Entry Event?

Can anyone explain to me exactly how a Re-Entry tournament works? And how is it different than a re buy tournament?

They've almost replaced traditional rebuys at major events. If you are fully eliminated within the first four levels, you can pay the buy in and get another starting stack.

Tournament plays out timewise, there is no time reset.

In rebuys you can usually buy in before you actually bust, and some placed don't/didn't rake the rebuys. In a re-entry you can't do anything until you officially have no chips and then you usually go ot the cage, buy in again, and get a new seat as if you didn't bust the tournament.

Some tournaments that have multiple day 1s won't let you back in the same day, but if you bust on day 1a you can start over again on day 1b (which would not include the people that didn't bust on day 1a). Check with the people at wherever you are going to play to make sure you have the right info for what you are going to be playing.
