I think I heard it one time and I think it's true, if you flip the low hand backwards, the smallest number wins.
In this case you 7632A vs 65432
On 2378k board, player holding 45 would beat A6 holder
7632A vs 75432

Saw this example and it says you need five unpaired cards 8 or lower to even have a qualifying low hand. So in my example I would not win half the pot.

You are incorrect. You win half the pot. You need two cards from your hand and 3 from the board, for a total of 5 cards un paired below 8

In the example you posted from a site you have A2258, that is not 5 cards unpaired, in your OP you have A33267, there are 5 cards below 8 even though you paired, and you used two from your hand, hitting the requirement

If there are 4 or 5 cards on the board below 8, pairs don't automatically screw you because you can use the card in your hand instead of the one on the board. In your example, you will use the ace and 3 from your hand and the 276 on the board, giving you a 7632A low, but you will lose to someone with a4, a5, or 45 because they will have a "6-high" for low. You will also chop with anyone with a2, a3, a6, or a7 because they will have the same low as you.

so when one of your cards gets copied then you need four low cards on board to have a low.

I try to keep a few things in when playing Hi-lo split games.
-Its always better to be drawing to the nut high than the low because of the possible multiple splits.
Even in a heads up pot you can make the low hand and still only end up with 1/4 of the pot.
(opponent wins the high and split the low)
-There is always a high hand but not always a low
-when one of your low cards come out on the board your low hand can easily become 2nd best
