    Anyone play at Cherokee, NC?

I've been there a hand full of times. Going up there next weekend, wondering if anyone in the SBR poker clique will be there also?

I stopped by there once years ago when I was passing through the area. 1st time I ever saw electronic craps and bj tables. Do they still have that silly law?

Yeah, they still have poker pro and video blackjack tables. What's even sillier is that they have live dealers "dealing" electronic cards

I normally play in North & Central Florida. I'm taking a mini-vacation to visit a friend up there. The poker is actually pretty good once you get the hang of the poker pro tables and it isn't difficult to get the hang of if you've played online poker. Low rake, no dealer mistakes, no tipping, (because there is no dealer) can buy in for $500 on a 1/2 table and the play is faster so you play more hands. There are some negatives of course, but overall its not a bad.

Yeah, the Poker pro tables are awesome for speed and lack of tipping. I'm not 100% convinced about the RNG though, one night recently there was quads 8 times on the same table.

Lucky you have low rake, the tables up here are .5/1, but raked at standard 1/2 levels.

They have too much invested in the Poker Pro tables now and those things are money making machines for them. They'll probably keep them for 1/2 games and tournaments and use real dealers and cards for blackjack and higher stakes poker games.

Played about 10 hours of break even poker then rivered quads in a $650-700 pot. Went south, cashed out, and lost most of it to the pit.

I like the digital games, they run very smooth and fast. I don't have to tip any dealers and there are no mistakes. Sometimes its gets a little too mechanical though...feels like there's 10 people playing online poker with each other live at times.

They actually lease the tables... not sure how long the agreement is for, I bought shares in PokerTech many years ago after visiting cherokee when they first got them. FWIW the stock has tanked.
