Why are players with huge stacks allowed to add on "before" the first hour?

What kind of fuk'in bullshit is go'in on? Playersonly69 is sitting with 3000+ in chips and he's allowed to add another 2000? How is someone suppose to compete when this guy buys up and bullies everyone at the table. Fuk this god damn scam job SBR! I should get my fuk'in points back for having to deal with this stupid shit!

If you're gonna run a re buy tourney, at least have the fuk'in decency to run the shit fair!

haha, why are you bitching...you get to buy as well...you realize that the re-buy benefits those lower on chips much more than those with big stacks, dont you? maybe you dont and this might not be the game for you

You should only be able to rebuy if you have less then the original starting amount, seems like SBR is still in the dark on how to run a basic poker tournament, i wonder if they'll use the same "this isnt pokerstars" excuse for this epic fukk up as well.

That is correct. Whatever the starting chip level is, you must have less then the starting amount in order to rebuy... so a smart player before the cut off time if he lingers around it will dump chip on purpose, to go shade under it.. Rebuy, then add -on..

Add on anyone is allowed to do regardless of chip count..

Maybe there is a mix up of rebuy and add-on?

And maybe SBR meant Rebuy/add-on for tournament and that anyone can "add-on" meaning add-on but phrased as rebuy?

Yeah I agree, if your chip stack falls below the starting amount, I see no problem with it. But when you're up above that and you're allowed to re buy, it's giving an advantage to a player who will just bully the fuk'in table against shorter stacks! Fuk'in sucks, I'm never play'in anymore of these weekend tourneys, it's all fuk'in bullshit! Worst god damn cards ever and it never changes! You owe me 66 fuk'in points SBR!

Yes wtt add ons,but Mike is talking about rebuys, Mike is correct there is no such thing as rebuying unless you got 1 chip less then the amount you started with, having 3k or 5k in chips then being allowed to rebuy is a flaw in running of a rebuyy tourney.

P.S. in some rebuys you can rebuy with the amount you began with, but certainly not when you have more then the starting amount.

Good edit, you confused rebuys for add ons.

Add ons are only allowed at the end of the first hour regardless of the amount in front of you,you can add on if you chose to.

rebuys are suppose to be for those with less then the starting amount and can be done 1 to 1000 times if the player has less then the starting amount prior to the add on period.

**** off mike, i never added chips when i was above 3000.

I ONLY did a double rebuy ONCE in the tourney when i was down to zero chips, so it gave me 4000 chips. you could have done a double rebuy at any time kid

Amazing that people think just because a tournament is typically ran one way all have to match it...

It's SBR's poker tournament... They can run it anyway they want as long as the rules aren't being changed and it plays as advertised... Once this obligation is meet your options as the player are to play or pass...

So if the net was 11 feet high in basketball or the basepaths were 100 feet long in baseball that would be acceptable because its the same for everyone, cmon.

And i havent played any of these half assed run rebuy tourneys for those exact reasons, so i chose pass. Once they changed it to take money for the house on rebuys and add ons it made up my mind. I just assumed they didnt allow people to rebuy unles they were at starting amount or less like every other casino and online card room does it.

If I'm reading the thread right, this tournament could not be more standard:

Rebuy if at or below starting stack (so you can buy a double stack if you feel like it)
Add on for everybody (and they normally price it so it's almost a must to buy it in terms of EV)

100% standard. If he's just flinging chips around, 3 bet him or pick him off with a good hand. I LOVE big stacks who are playing badly.

I had no clue that one could do a double rebuy once busted. Why can we not rebuy from the very beginning if we care too as it should be.

Yea, if you are unwilling to go down the street to play on the regulation court that is available at every other playground seems like you don't have much to complain about if you choose to keep playing on the only 11 feet goal...
