So how did the books do tonight?

I figure this is a relevant question since many of you are affiliated with the books. From my humble view, and judging from the line movements throughout the week, the bookies were gambling on the Steelers to win and they lost.

    Enlighten me.

I agree, think books wanted a Steelers win but don't think they got killed because the Steelers always get love from bettors.

The money they lost on the side/total was well made up for by props. I think it's impossible for an offshore to lose money on the Super Bowl when they offer hundreds of prop options.

Favourite covered, over hit and teasers were winners.
Lots of props bet too though, all at -110 or worse.

GB was not an overwhelming public play so I would expect the books would be about even. They would have preferred a PIT win.

everyone gets buried in the end so they aren't worried...

I mean, just look at ApricotSinner for example... one of the sharpest guys here and he is a point stiff..

don't worry about the books people..

GB and GB over were bet heavily by the squares and small bettors. and 3 hrs before game time, PIT and the PIT under were moving aggressively.. big action came in on PIT and the UNDER late. line was moving so aggressively at both pinny and matchy, so i assume the big boys came in with PIT and the UNDER late to even all the action. and all teasers won with pit and gb, so i'll say that the game was probably a wash with all the books. plus, the line hardly moved from last sun.. i'd say very close to dead even for the books.
