    My brother in-law is a loan shark.

    My brother in-law is on parole right now and the guy is back to his old tricks again. Years ago he was loan sharking making over $100,000 a month but he was pulled over and arrested for carrying an illegal firearm and drug possession. They also found ledgers detailing his loan sharking but those charges didn't stick. Regardless of the charges that were dropped, he still served 5 years

    He has been out for around two years now and instead of attempting to turn his life around he is loan sharking again. This time most of his customers are elderly and he has a much smaller client base. Apparently he found most of his clientele at the local casinos and a large proportion pay him with food stamp debit cards for 50% of their food value which he resells for profit. Talk about abuse of the system.

    If this was the case, it'd have to be a couple of big time bettors because how the heck would you find the time to make 100k collecting small $100-$500 amounts from people.

    $100,000 is what his brother told me he made, it could have been less but it is possible that he was also dealing drugs, because I know he used a lot.

    I wouldn't ask him for money, I don't like the guy. I won't get into it but he has done some ****** up stuff. However, if I did ask for money he would probably just give it to me providing it wasn't an excessive amount. He is always trying to flaunt his money in front of the family.
