    Joe Maddon is a horrible coach

    OK so i got the rays today at +2.5 at five dimes in a parlay.

    Anyways big game James didn't have it today. I knew in the first inning when he walked three.

    Now through for he has given up 8 on five homers.

    Why would Maddon give up on the game add leave Shields out there?

    Makes no sense the Rays need every win they can get right now.

    I know you don't want to waste your bullpen but that's why you got long relievers.

    It makes perfect sense from a baseball standpoint just not from a guy gambling standpoint. There was absolutely no reason to bet Rays +2.5 in this game. If you don't think the Rays are going to win (or cover the -1.5 RL for that matter), then you have picked a bad spot. There were much better plays out there.

    He didnt want to burn up the bullpen. scioscia does this as well always trys to get 5 or 6 innings out of the starter.

    Oh your right thats why I don't bet for action. I just wanted to play something this morning.

    I am not worried about the 2.5. They still might get it.
    Just the move of leaving a starter out there who clearly doesn't have it isn't smart. It also losers moral on a team.

    Maddon tries to kind of reinvent the game in his own way because he thinks that he knows more than the game. bringing in Matt Garza to close a game inbetween starts? jeez, thats something no other manager would do to a young star with huge talent upside
