    XFL Season Starts 2/18/23 - Gambling Opportunities





    We have 4 head coaches with head coaching/coordinator experience (Phillips, Barlow, Stoops, Haslett). We have 4 with none (Buckley, Hines, Woodson, Becht). In the first few games, since all of these teams are probably pretty even on talent, I'm going with the veteran coaches in every game they play against the zero experienced ones.

    The best records in these type of leagues have had quite a bit of college coaching experience (Spurrier 2020 Orlando Apollos 7-1 AAF, June Jones 5-0 Houston Roughnecks XFL 2020, Mike Riley New Jersey Generals 9-1 USFL, Gene Chizik Birmingham Stallions 9-1 USFL). I'm looking for Bob Stoops and Reggie Barlow to be near the top of the league. So in my betting, Go Defenders! Go Renegades!

    Looking at the USFL , I think another thing that helped the Birmingham Stallions win so many games was that they were the host city. This year the USFL has 4 host cities, and only 3 teams are in the same city as their stadium (Memphis Showboats, Michigan Panthers, Birmingham Stallions).

    The crowds were MUCH larger for the Stallion games. They always had a home field advantage during the regular season.

    I don't start betting until week 3 of the season. Gotta get a feel and look for all the teams. After 2 games played it's pretty clear to see which teams are shit and which teams are solid. Then you start betting accordingly. It's not rocket science.
