    Good advice.

Agree with some but not all.

Depends I guess if you want the man job or a professional job that actually requires a degree.

You can’t find plumbers and roofers? Where do you live? So many to chose from in pa. Too many.

That’s strange to me because we have so many roofers and plumbers out here. They fight for work.

PA is a tougher state than Washington and Oregon. Most of the kids out here where skinny jeans—second generation skinny jeans (dads where them too). Contractors are making serious money because none of these people know anything

You’re right, totally different environment. Some of these plumbing, electrical and roofing companies here are family owned for generations and most do quality work at a fair price. I’m not involved with the business like you are but I know people who are and if you’re flipping houses or need people do that type of work, if you get the wrong guy, your entire project can get fuxcked. You look like you’re doing well, and that’s good. Continued success

Nephew went to college for 2 years because of his mother’s insistence. Dropped out now got a union job making $25 an hour to start. I say good for him

Buried an entire generation but it’s true. I get 100’s of resumes a week from kids who went to college and expect to walk in the door and run my company. Nah. One said his salary “demand” is $85k base plus bonus. Huh? They were told that degree would be all they needed and they barely have people skills and certainly can’t negotiate. Even had one say “do you know who my dad is?”... yeah pal, he’s an asshole just like you. Anyway- I coached both of my younger nephews to go the trade route and both are electricians making more money than I ever could have dreamed of at 22-24.

Trades are dead... nobody teaching little Johnny how to swing a hammer or change a tire or oil. Union shop front doors wide open to minorities and they still can’t feel the positions even with all the help and assistance they’re giving.

You cannot find workers, with trades they've learned, because the generations get lazier as decades go by.

I worked in construction at a very young age.
    Ran a crew.
Had to do all of the thinking in reading blueprints, and the labor laying out buildings, forming & pouring slabs, and so on.

But when one guy walked off the job, you could replace him the next day no problem.

There's some truth to what you said about ppl going to college.

But the problem is, there's no in-between these days

It's either kids who want a higher education, or those who are lazy you know what's who lie around home all day playing video games and/or living off of their parents or system.

Times & ppl have changed drastically.

    Props, High. Great video.

*Here's the thing: What does the USA produce anymore?

I appreciate your comment re: Mexican workers. My experience is that Mexicans are a very industrious people. They are good at landscaping and ethnic restaurant work. They take pride in their job and do a good job. It's work that young Americans deem themselves to be above.

Things are crumbling. And shit is going to hit the fan SOONER rather than later.
