Rams should take some heat too, being that they were a division leader an 17 point favorite. That's too much any given sunday

Trade it for several more picks. Darnold with Gase coaching is in the same situation that Goff was in with Jeff Fisher. Get a new, offensive minded coach in there to rebuild his confidence. Fill your many gaps with several picks (providing you draft well).

since my Jets had to be world beaters yesterday, let them get the 2nd pick, trade it and see about taking a QB lower in the first round while getting other capital to build a complete team.

If the Jets get the number 2 pick in the draft. They will not take Fields from Ohio state.

Case is gone and will have nothing to do with the Jets draft.

Trevor Lawrence is breathing a sigh of relief. I don't think he would have played for the Jets.

I'm not sure he's overly thrilled about the chance that he'll be calling Jacksonville home either.
My virtual friends that live down south below the Mason/Dixon line tell me Jacksonville is turning into a ghetto with a lot of crime.
At least he'll have two up and coming stars (Chalk and David Robinson) to work with if he does land with the Jags.

As for the Jets, they still need an army of #2 picks and just one pick won't solve that dumpster fire.
If I had the final say as to what to do with that draft choice I would do two things.

    1) Not take any draft advice as to what to do on draft day from my front office people because that's the reason the Jets are in the mess that they are in.

    2) Shop that pick for maybe a lesser first round pick and a good second or third round pick.
Or trade down to a team that wants that pick for a solid, NFL proven ready player and later draft picks.
You know, turn that selection into a 3 for 1, because like I mentioned the Jets need more than a second overall selection they need an army of them.

Yes, I had that same thought.

Lawrence is nice, Fields is nice, but I don't see them as the second coming of Joe Montana.

Also the jags are more likely to pull off another victory before the Jets so all hope isn't lost yet

Chalk and David Robinson huh? I didn't know The Admiral was back playing a new sport. That Chalk is a wild card too, is he as good as DJ Chark?

Yeah I tend to agree here, Jets should give Darnold a little more time and give him better skilled position players.

CBS sports online says in their latest mock draft Jets take Zach Wilson as the #2 overall.

I mean seriously. The whole Jets front office should be fired for this win.

Gase is a moron and will be fired the day after the seasons ends

This might be the best idea thus far outside the fact that Darnold could be just another USC bust.
Most of their qb's look oh so great, until they get to the NFL.

The jets have been playing some of their young players the past 4+ weeks and they should know by now what they need
they already know who does and doesn't have potential.

in the upcoming draft They will have 9 picks, plus 3 picks coming from the seahawks ( for Adams ) and one from the giants ( for Williams )
so they will have picks to build where they need it.

I agree with hman, I feel lawrence isn't the first coming of christ. I'm not saying he isn't a very good, maybe great QB
But there are other options out there. ( I like Jones )

But they can easily go the route that you posted.

    I don't know.
People who know more about business than me say the owner Shad Khan is a genius businessman.
If he's such a genius he would have figured out a way for this team to stop sucking by now.
