Whats tougher Sports Betting or Poker??

It seems so tough. Man I mean I grind at both..through years of getting my head bashed in at both Ive learned to stay focused and calm. Both games seem to take so much time and energy to stay in the black

Both you lose everything you have

Poker a dead loser game all random luck

    Sports slow death

Only bet money you can afford to lose because your ending is loss

are we talking about online poker? If so then i'd say online poker is tougher because of software design to make you tilt and RIVER RAT!

poker is harder because you have to change your play each time you move up in stakes

if you move up in sports bets, nothing changes

When your poker table buyin and sports bets get over $25, thats when you move to sports

Poker is a SKILL GAME, easier because you are in control to an extent

Sports betting harder because you are betting on other people's actions and half of them are on the take.

only a skill game if players people play game right

When lots of punks play it becomes random it is why bracelet winners new people all the time

Years ago only pros played tourneys so of course good players won and fields much smaller

    Bigger fields more random

Sports Betting if you want to compare a pro vs poker .........the sports player will always do better

Let me educate you all almost every guy that cleaned up during poker craze are now broke the few that made it was from advertising money than wins

    Game Over

I thought we were talking about online poker. Real life poker is a completely another topic; ONLY a skilled poker player can win in real life (with or without luck). Ive played a lot of real life poker games. Sport betting you need luck because its not YOU who is actually playing. I can beat most of you in real life poker

Both are difficult. The theory of dimensioning return.

In the end you will go broke.

Sports betting is harder because it involves predicting the future and has far more firepower thrown at it than poker. Poker is just risk assessment.

I guess it could be said that for a truly sharp player at both, sports betting is actually easier because poker has a top. If you play equal players, you cannot win. It is easier to reach the top at poker than sports betting which makes beating the field harder.

In sports betting, a person with an edge cannot lose over time.

That is only because the outcome of the game of poker is certain over time.

Now poker is and it’s not even close.

I guess the best way to think about it is if you play the Watson computer at poker, you will lose. Online poker is probably fairly close to the Watson computer.

If you have skilled sports bettors play the Watson computer, they will melt it down.

You can do it once because of randomness. If you play it forever, you will run out of money.

i make more money than most playing full time poker.

most of my associates that play poker or are in the industry have very deep wallets.

i have a hunch that profitable people stick together, and fish stick together.

we can only conclude that you are a fish xD

I've supported myself with both and sports betting is definitely harder. There are fewer soft spots in sports and if you win you get limited or shown the door. In poker you don't even have to be that good to make money. All you have to do is find soft games and put in the hours.

In poker it is easier to pick your pool. In sports betting, you are thrown in with the sharks and have to start swimming.

Sports is harder to win, but has more upside because it only gets a little harder when you raises the stakes where poker gets way harder.

Losing poker players are always saying how bad it is. Winning players like Ian and I with a skill edge over the competition love it.

    Go figure.
