he's a guy who gets a far worse rap than he deserves. i thought he did some good things and is above average at worst, but got blackballed by the league because he doesn't like gays and one of the Warriors front office guys is gay

He might be too preachy and self righteous to be great head coach. Definitely didn’t get the most out of the splash brothers.

Hmm, I must have missed this. I know state was a lot better after he left but would have thought he would have gotten a 2nd chance, everyone else does. I assume your from the nor cal area and this was a rumor?

Warriors got a lot better after he left, but he also made them better. He more than doubled their win total from his first season to his second. I guess you can also make the argument that Curry put them over the top.

I would say he would be an adequate head coach in the NBA. Honestly doesn’t take that much to coach in the league.

Yeah, he’s annoying as hell on TV. Constantly doubts coaches decisions

No he doesn’t. I looked back, Krit was right they sucked year one, they got better both of the next two years. You would think he would at least get another job, the league loves retreads, especially ones who teams had a better record each year he coached. He must have been blackballed. It couldn’t have helped that state won the title the year after he left.

Orbison is correct. Jackson rubbed some high ups the wrong way With the negative gay talk and hasn’t been coaching since. I think he has a good grasp on the game. The players seemed to like him but you never really know. His in game coaching was pretty good. I think he’d make a great HC for a team, especially since he probably has a chip on his shoulders, so he’ll work his ass off. But once you screw with mainstream media, you’re pretty much untouchable.
