    Will Garnett buy the Wolves?

    https://theathletic.com/1943303/2020/07/21/exclusive-taylor-says-any-wolves-sale-is-contingent-on-team-staying-minnesota/

    The Wilf's apparently are out.

KG + Taylor were very close, for decades, until Flip passed away. At that time KG thought he'd have an opportunity to purchase 10% of the club. Taylor/ Saunders family did not make it available.

A huge falling out occured. Including a KG Twitter rant calling Taylor a snake, liar, etc....

Will KG walk it back, apologize and be one of only a select few ex athletes to own a team!?!?

I don't think he can afford it..

Jordan is the only one that comes to mind that made enough money to buy into a franchise at a high percentage with the money he won in gambling ...

I think Garnett made more total contract $ than any NBA player in history.

If he had wise people handling his $ he could be super rich now in liquidity, leveraging options, and social capitol.

He could also have next to nothing like many other well paid stars that blew through millions

(Antoine walker, Curt schilling, Iverson, Warren sapp, mark brunell, John Daly, Scottie Pippen)

Where there is smoke there is fire, so I'd say he saved and made good investments, has some good coin and connections

Michael still makes well over 100 million a year from nike, still.

Made over a billion in endorsements lifetime.

To think he didn't even want to go with Nike back in the day is mind blowing

Owner is smart to sell the team before the police are totally defunded in that city. Take the money and run far, far away!

So worth 250 million after taxes and agents/accounts fees.

Plus we are leaving out all the money he pissed away with his music investments and bad business decisions.

He's not even a player compared to pro team owners.

Magic Johnson is another Player/Owner that got in on the Lakers and Dodgers.. Not majority owner though in either.. Magic made money after playing ball as well.

You really have to be a billionaire these days to fully own an NBA franchise unless you bring in investors..

People say BLM/ Antifa wont affect the popularity of the sport. Well here you go, an owner asking 1.2 billion for his team. Never mind viewing figures & sponsors, you have someone bailing at the top of the pyramid.

People don't want to be lectured by idiot athletes that don't have a clue about history.

    1 million seconds = 11 days

    1 billion seconds = 32 years

Kg as an owner would be great for the organization. Kat may not demand a trade, Garnett was legendary while on Minny. His ring chase to Boston influenced LeBron and subsequently Durant

He didn't want to get traded to Boston.

As a part-owner I can't see him being anything but a negative influence -a meddling type for sure.

KG spent a lot of time working with Thon Maker in Milwaukee... told everyone he'd be a super-star in this league... how did that work out?
