I don’t think that the purpose to make you feel guilty, I think it more about the fact that there absolutely a large number of ppl who prob not even exactly racist but let’s be honest are totally blind to some facts of life for black ppl that need to be changed. A black man shouldn’t have to go into a courtroom in the south looking for justice with a confederate flag hanging outside. They certainly shouldn’t be sentenced to insane mandatory minimums for small drug charges that I know for a fact 50+ white ppl that get probation for the same or way worse in some cases (far as amounts), while a few white ppl in mississippi get drug into that system and hosed make no mistake the “justice” system down there is designed to do one thing and one thing only, continue the tradition of slavery, I got stuck in that system for 3.5 years I promise im not embellishing at all and I have no agenda to push anything here.
I’m not in total agreement with (well anything really, lol) certain ways they going about it. I think there absolutely some truth to the idea some of it has gotten very political very fast. But I also recognize better than a lot of white ppl some these issues are absolutely real, absolutely unfair, and play a role in making it harder for many black ppl to succeed, not impossible but I promise they have hurdles many whites don’t have to deal with. There really no way for many decent good white ppl to have any idea about this so it not their faults they don’t understand it. It just a shame this can never seem to be expressed in a way that doesnt rile ppl up and make them feel as you do. It doesn’t help there are plenty of incredibly racist ppl that like nothing more than to find ways to make the good white ppl feel this way when I think if things were presented differently most good hearted white folks would come to the conclusion there are still some very bad things still going on designed to hold down a certain race.
I’m certainly not trying to change your mind on anything, I don’t agree with everything, I just think the way everything happening has you feeling a certain way that was not intended and it totally understandable why it annoys you. If I felt as targeted as it sounds like you do I would take offense as well. I just don’t think the intention is to give you that feeling. Ultimately at the true root of all the solid black ppl want is for us to understand some the things they do have to go thru that really ain’t fair and most good hearted reasonable ppl would agree but unfortunately it all gets twisted by the disgusting ppl on both sides with way different agendas than that.
Well that is as long as I’ll ever talk on this subject, not looking for any argument from anyone or even a debate, until we got sports back I pretty much didn’t post for months cause I have no interest arguing about corona, BLM, politics, or any that crap, I like sports without it all too, it just easy for me to enjoy them whether guys take a Knee, where a shirt, or so whatever, and I want everyone else to be able to do the same without feeling what I think a unintended way when they see it!!!

Just one last thing and never again. Black lives matter in no way implies whites don’t or Blacks after more than white lives. Matter of fact the white lives implied cause what it means is B L matter as much as white lives!! Everyone already knows white lives matter!! Does that in any way make it better? The phrase itself acknowledges they want to matter as much as white lives!! Is that so wrong? Lol

That being said, then there are people who get carried away and want to swing it too far the other way, but they are in no way representative for what the BLM movement is in its core.
Unfortunately the evil, greedy, and powerful will always find a way to weasel their way into anything they think can help them further their own selfish agendas. Happens on all sides which such a shame cause they the ones who benefit from dividing, the last thing they want is everyone to take a step back and actually listen to each other!
I know some very good hearted decent white ppl that are so entrenched on a side and I know it not cause they racist, it because the way everything gets twisted, turned, and distorted turning a very simple, very just, very fair ideal into who knows what!
Not much different than the way they somehow turned taking a knee Into some anti America, anti troops, terrorist act that somehow symbolized he hated every person that ever defended this country!! While at the same time making anyone who listened to his reasons with a open mind a communist race traitor who hates bunnies! lol. The dividers on both sides are very good at what they do and unfortunately there so many damn ppl who are so freakin sensitive and very quick to react to every little thing it makes their job easy.
Anytime someone feels triggered to start spewing hate they should 1st off take a minute, secondly try expressing what exactly making them feel that way cause the simple ideal you speak of at the core of what blm should be damn sure shouldn’t make anyone mad! (Again I acknowledge there are plenty on that side who use tactics I don’t agree with and have a political agenda that is not representative of what decent black ppl are asking for!)
It’s all so ridiculous, I truly believe most ppl are reasonably decent and if they could only get out of their own way for a second and try to understand things from others perspective they would realize a lot of things that would change their feelings on this stuff. Instead the extremist on both sides continue to trigger things that bring out the worst in ppl. I can’t believe how many times the last few months I’ve gotten on here and read something from someone I’ve talked with for years who I liked and respected and was so disappointed and saddened by something they wrote. I would just leave not saying anything cause what to say to some this unwarranted hate filled stuff? And why challenge them on it cause it just makes them more defensive and more dug in.
It took some time and unintentionally came out of nowhere in this thread but what I said in the 2 post above and now this one (sorry everyone, lol) I think the best way I could say anything about all this in a way meant to hopefully trigger understanding and not more combativeness! I don’t think mike a bad person at all and not signaling him out or anything, just what he wrote about how the blm stuff before the matches made him feel as if he should feel guilty or why don’t white lives matter seemed to help give me a way to answer In a way I didn’t think sounded judgy or like yet another argumentative post (as if we need more of that here or anywhere else in the world!).

This is the game most TV fans will see. Like the NFL Sunday night game on prime time. There is a reason MLS put those teams at this time slot. They want people to see goals.

No it's not. These two teams play up tempo and they have young forwards who can run and score goals.
Right, so why is the total only 2.5? They both put up tons of goals in their two games before the season got suspended. Feels like this should have a lot of goals.

Yes and yes from what I understand. They had been in the bubble for a week I think what they said this morning when I turned on to watch, and yes I’m pretty sure mls bubble at same Disney complex nba bubble is set to be at. Can’t be good.
Far as the other I certainly don’t look at anyone’s thoughts as right or wrong on that stuff. How things make you feel really not a right or wrong situation. Just wish ppl could discuss it without so much disdain for one another.
The lines for the totals moved a lot after the first 5 days of playing. So basically what happened the books set the lines originally like this was a regular MLS season where teams play home games with fans (because that was the data they had) and now that they find out about the structure of this tournament (mini World Cup) they are adjusting them because the public thinks that they now see a trend and are hammering the unders without actually capping the teams that play in these games. There was value earlier on unders and that's why I was betting them but for this game I see value on the over because the public has moved the line in my favor.

Absolutely love soccer but if you're comparing 8million NBA viewers (avg) per game to 246k MLS viewers (avg) per game, that's pretty ridiculous. That's some simple math. Hope you don't own a company.
