Garrett and the GM are the reasons why Danny Jones hasn't developed.
Garrett drew up some of the shittiest offensive game plans I've ever seen, the GM and his scouts have no clue on how to put an offensive line together.
Opposing defensive front lines made the Giants lineman their personal meat puppets.
You saw how Danny got rag dolled all last night.
The interior lineman got bitch slapped again.
Jones was running or his life, again as usual.
So Hitchens takes over, he's going to work with Jones the second half of the year with the game plans.
Hitchens gets a contract based on what he does the second half of the season.
You still can't judge (get it, Judge)? When he's never had a pro caliber front line to block for him, and in three years Jones has had Barkley, Engram, and Sheppard together healthy at the same time except for five games total.
Now most of the pieces are back, and Jones has an OC that has a clue.
Evaluation time starts, now.

Giants have 2 first rd picks next yr. I would do whatever it takes to sign a big name qb. Jones is maybe and I mean maybe better than 5 or so qbs. Heck I dont even think he is better than Taylor Heinecke. I dont want to hear it about the O line. The guy hasnt shown that he can stare down the gun barrel and rip it. He plays cautious and scared and waits to see guys “open” before he throws.
