    BET MGM Cancelled Parlay

So yesterday I made a parlay that included...

    Rays ML &
    Arozarena over 0.5 base hits

    No biggie +125 odds.

Well, The Rays won and Arozarena did not play.

No problem, cancel the Arozarena leg and count the Rays ML -170 as a win and frogging pay me, right?

Wrong, Bet MGM cancelled the whole damn parlay.

Turns out that is their policy any leg cancelled and the whole damn parlay cancelled.

Yeah, well my "policy" is that any book that pulls this crap no longer gets my business.

Money transferred back to PayPal without a problem.

Too many books out there to put up with that BS.

    Email from MGM:

Thank you for contacting the BetMGM LA email support team.

We hope this email finds you well.

In regards to your concern, and as per our Sports House Rules and Terms of Service, If the Same Game Parlay one leg misses/void your bet will be canceled or lost.

Same Game Parlay Terms & Conditions

    • If a pick within a Same Game Parlay is cancelled, then the entire Same Game Parlay will be cancelled. For example, if your touchdown scorer pick does not take part in the game, the entire wager will be canceled, regardless of the outcome of the other selections.

Are "same game parlay" rules universally different from regular parlays?

    Arozarena over 0.5 base hits

    1. Cancelled events that have either not started, or have not met the minimum length for an event to be official, will result in straight wagers being cancelled. Parlays that involve a cancelled event will reduce to the next lowest number of selections.

Is that a possibility? Never seen a function like that myself.

    Still, it's not a SGP.

Yes, there’s a button you press to get the odds on the SGP. It actually changes the odds a little bit than the odds you see on regular lines.

Example: you get team A at +10 -110 points but under the SGP it could be +10.5 -115, etc

To access it, click on the game, it opens up a bigger menu, at the top of the page you’ll see a button “tap here to build your SGP”

Yeah, I think it was a SGP.

    Still a ridiculous rule.

Yea it is. Maybe that’s why the point spreads on the SGP option are all moved to half points.

Thanks Jake. Was thinking it said Arizona and their game had been cancelled. Should have checked better.

I feel your pain CS, I do.
Having said that, and I don't mean to

It's not my intention to come across as a jackass when I say rules are rules.
You can't accuse MGM of trying to get over with a fast one either, the terms and conditions were posted all along, you say you weren't aware,
it's your job as a consumer to be aware of the terms and conditions.

Ignorance is never a good excuse.
I made the same mistake many years ago, I think almost all of us have, since then I make it a point to always read the fine print of the terms, rules, and conditions before I place an exotic wager, no matter how all that boring, mind numbing minutiae may be.

Yes mgm does this for sgps. Fanduel reduces down and still pays out a win. Also if im not mistaken if you lose a leg and a leg gets cancelled the whole ticket is void instead of a loss which is generous...im not 100% on that tho

Unibet and Bet365 both reduce down too.
