    Stafford to Patriots?

I got a lot of reactions with this post last week on a Lions forum...thoughts?

Prediction: Patriots lose in playoffs. Brady retires. Pats trade 2020 1st and 3rd picks to Lions for Stafford (plus conditional 2021 pick no higher than third) Lions draft Herbert (same last name of last championship winning QB in Detroit, no relation, but makes fans feel happy and nostalgic) Lions go 4-12 in 2020. Fire Quinn and Patricia, who are quickly rehired by the Patriots. Patriots win 2 Super Bowls with Stafford as their QB.

any reason stafford is the guy they want or only because he plays for your team?

    also seems awfully pricey

brady is NOT retiring after throwing that pick six to end the game. too competitive. hyper competitive. it's like a great boxer can KO'ed in his last fight but he still has gas in the tank so he comes back for another few fights.

barring injury, brady is a pat for at least 1 or 2 more years. book that.

100%. they need a big target that can get must have catches. would be nice to have a WR to stretch the field too.

HARD CAP in the NFL. Why is it so hard for people to understand? Pats are always called cheap. They spend exactly to the limit, like every other team. 9 SB for that cheap ass franchise.

Just in theory - what happens if Josh Gordon and Antonio Brown were able to play the whole year?

The Lions are a 1 win team without Stafford and in Detroit making ng the playoffs is enough close to zero chance that would happen.

This trade has as much chance of happening as jj having a full head of real hair in 2020.

They also spent top money for a filming crew to do their cheating.
