Then enter our spectacular Contest.

Simply select the WINNING horse from ALL of the races at SARATOGA on Sat July 27th. Whatever payout SARATOGA displays for selecting the winner of each race is then tallied in your contest balance if you too get the correct winning horses.
Highest day total is our winner.


Ex: Race one...you select the 3 horse. The 3 wins and pays 48.40 to WIN. Then that is how much you have in your balance. Race two...you select the 4 horse. The 4 wins and pays $12.20. Then you add the 48.40 and the $12.20 together and you have a total of $60.60 now.
At the end of the SARATOGA card the person with the highest amount of money is the winner.


If there is a scratched horse that you selected then for you that race is void.
You may not make more than ONE SELECTION per race.

Contest open to everyone. (If you win and are an SBR NON PRO then $100 of your $250 winnings will automatically be used towards you becoming an SBR PRO) In other words if you win and are a NON PRO you actually win an SBR PRO membership and $150!! Good for one year.


Winners announced on Monday morning after the contest.

But wait...we said that the prize was $1000 right? Ok we did so guess what? There is another contest with the exact same format for the Aug 3rd Whitney Day!! Winner there receives the same prize as this contest, Then again we will have the same Contest for the Aug 10th Fourstardave and Saratoga Special day with the same structure of payouts. But wait that is still only $250 x 3 Contests = $750...what gives? BOOM!! We are offering an OVERALL prize for the BEST COMBINED tally(MUST ENTER ALL THREE CONTESTS TO BE ELIGIBLE). In as always, another sport I know 0 about, but blind luck is always something you can try to bank on!

Drew: out of curiousity, have you thought about putting all these contests in the handicapping contests subforum as well (or perhaps to create an entirely different subforum for them)? Only slight issue is with all of these great ones, it's easy to forget one of the continuous ones (especially those which require you to make a pick every day) or perhaps one of the others (like this) may go into the second page by end of today which obviously makes it more likely you forget! Would be cool if they were a bit easier to keep track of! Just a thought, no big deal if not, please keep these coming as much as possible - really have livened things up around here!

Appreciate the post...we are working on many new aspects of the aforementioned ideas. The Contest page is one of these. We are always looking for ways to improve the site and contests certainly is one avenues we have spent a good amount of time on recently.

Expected weekend heat has forced the cancellation of racing Saturday at Saratoga Race Course.The New York Racing Association, working with the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (NYTHA) and taking the recommendation of the New York State Gaming Commission, announced the decision Thursday afternoon.

Sorry to hear we can't battle this Saturday because of the Heat cancellation. We have giant races next Saturday though. G2 600K Jim Dandy for 3yr olds, G1 350K Vanderbilt for sprinters and GR2 250K Bowling Green marathon on Turf. Enjoy your weekend and get paid.
