Now the Twins have won 2 games in a row after last night's win over the Yankees. Twins need to maintain the momentum as the division leader, with Cleveland fast approaching them only 2-games back coming into tonight's game.

Books also suspicious of the Yankees here as a very thin -118 road favorite, considering one of their best starters Domingo German (12-2 W/L) is starting tonight vs Kyle Gibson (9-4 W/L) for the Twins.

My money is on the home team tonight in Minnesota.

Seems like I’m all by myself around here w Yankees tonight. Just couldn’t pass up -117 when they have such a huge advantage after the starters leave. I’ll pay to see and tip my cap if twins pen can have 2 strong showings vs yanks lineup. That pen been awful!!

Everyone in the daily thread JJ starts., Long as it close going into late innings I’ll be happy w nyy at the price. As I mentioned in that thread if I was gonna play twinks it woulda absolutely been 1st 5 innings. Their pen been so shaky. They better make a move or 3 and get some help if they want to have a shot in playoffs.

He walked 2 batters on July 4 in Tampa, which was the most walks he issued in a game this year, and those weren't consecutive batters.

Nothing close to what he did tonight, though.

And I believe he will be credited with the win if the Yankees are holding on here.

He seems to have a couple games a year he just cant throw strikes. And its usually thd only time he blows games.

But generally he has this issue after not pitching for a.while but he got an inning of work Sunday.

but they couldn't do that extra something that the Yankees did

I dozed off for awhile but woke up during the yanks 5 run 8th. What a crazy game. Coulda lived without chapmen allowing a run without twins getting a hit to blow the save but ended up just making for more drama, lol.,

Certainly wasn’t surprised twinks pen gave up a bunch, didn’t expect yanks pen to suck also.

Imo you just can’t bet twins full Game right now, really no reason not to just play 1st 5 innings when you like them going forward. Sure they will win plenty of games but If they not leading after 5 don’t see them coming back on many teams (unless it low scoring and starter able to go well into 7th) in a bullpen game. Cash their 1st 5s and let someone else sweat the back end of their games at least until they do something to tighten pen up.

I feel your pain HC, I been betting quite a few twinks FFs all year but i came to this conclusion to stay away from full games just last week after losing big stupid chase play on them when taking a lead into the pens against the muts of all teams! If your pen gets out played by Mets pen that a really bad sign!!

What a nice, very lucky win. This is a rare happening. Congrats. When I lose one like this it takes me about 48 hours of mumble-cussing to get relief.
