    What Are the Requirements/Qualifications to Do Commentary?

    The majority of these MLB commentators are very piss poor. I don't understand. Like, they don't even know the game of baseball half of them. It is really bad. How does one qualify to be in this position? Mind boggling.

    Half these guys gave up the last 10 years.... checked in... get my free coffee... free stadium food.... let me broadcast the game from my recliner. They are probably getting a foot massage while on air...

    Hershiser does good for the Dodgers broadcast. He gives clues as to who will be pitching good their next outing. Very good at analyzing how to pitch to certain hitters.

    There's a huge difference in the qualifications to do PBP and analysis. By and large, sports "analysts" are atrocious and do nothing but drag down their broadcasts.

    Just have to have a good voice. Matt Vasquersion is the best play by play commentator. Guy does baseball, poker, college, everything
