Last night, I requested a bitcoin payout from 5Dimes. Been dealing with them for a number of years, always used either ** or more recently (over a year now) Bitcoin. Anyway, today I get an email saying that they needed me to verify my username and 4-digit password via email (which i thought was an odd request)..... The email also stated that I needed to send a scanned colored picture ID (government issued) valid for at least 6 more months. HUH???

Okay, they want an ID all of a sudden. Not sure why, but no problem. I sent that this afternoon, still awaiting a follow-up from 5Dimes.
Anyway, a scanned ID......valid for at least the next six months????
Does this imply that if my license expires in February, I would need to go get it renewed today for the sake of a payout from an offshore wagering company?

This seems like a very odd request. For as solid a book that 5Dimes is, I've always had some sort of what seems to appear to be stall tactics before eventually getting paid. :-/

Exactly request I got, no idea what it means if your license expires before six months probably don't want to find out. These guys are a slow pay book.

Make you wait 4 days before they contact you, then they make you jump through hoop after ridiculous hoop. Every time they ask for something you respond, it will take 24 hours before they ask for something else. It's a process designed to pay as slow as humanly possible. I appreciate security but by the time your actually done you realize it has to do more with them waiting for BTC deposits to come in than actual security.

Do they at least reduce your balance by the amount of the withdrawal request? Always thought that was a bush league tactic waiting to remove the funds until after giving you the run around and making you jump through hoops in hopes you'll bet the funds and lose.

They never remove your funds from your betting balance at any point until you are paid.

No, they do not remove the funds.
Now I will have to wait until tomorrow (at the earliest) to get the "confirm your bitcoin address" email, and who knows how long after that before that one is responded to.

Again, if this was any other book than 5dimes, this whole "send a scanned colored picture ID (government issued) valid for at least 6 more monthc would be widely criticized and questioned by many. 5dimes always seems to get a pass.

it is unscrupulous but tony does this to discourage withdrawals and then ultimately another deposit. it's that cycle that he is trying to reduce to a manageable level. he does not like being treated like a local in regards to withdrawing and depositing over and over. he wants you to "just leave it in" to avoid all that hassle. every six months or so if you are still winning he is not opposed to a moderate withdrawal but leave enough in so you won't have to re-deposit. it gets tiring for him to go through all this every week. tony is hard but fair and if you really need the money he will abide. just don't try to sift out a bad line or your account will end up on his bad table. a place where you definitely do not want to be.

It's a way to avoid paying and you should stop betting there and close your account; don't be surprised if they reply that the picture you sent is "blurry" and you need to send another one.

you deposit 200.00 on a thursday. run it up to 475.00 after monday and you want to withdraw 450.00. lose the 25.00 and have to re-deposit before saturday again over and over. this annoys the guy to no end. you say well it's my money and i won it and i have the right to withdraw it if i want to. he says sure, i'll make you go through hoops to get it. just leave it in and cash out after superbowl if you need it that bad.

The proper way round this problem is to charge for withdrawals with a free withdrawal per month or whatever.
