Can't see the whole screen. I'm not here to criticize it but it's just really hard to look at the odds altogether

We are making an update in a few minutes to get rid of the wall of blue on the box scores. We will also remove the repeated 'final' header bars.

The MLB diamond will be updated as well to be more prominent and easier to read.

    Classic odds are 100% better.

I'm super confused on why SBR is pushing something so hard that, to my knowledge, nobody asked for in the first place. In fact a majority of feedback appears to be pleading to keep the classic version for as long as possible.

There’s people that like the new version, we’re just hearing the passionate old-school guys that do like the older classic version

Literally nothing works on the mobile version for me. The only thing that shows is the game column along the left. I can see the teams and scores.... but don't see any odds, none of the links work on the entire page (except the 'Classic View' link - thank goodness), and the format of the fonts only shows 3 games per screen without the ability to re-size zoom in or out.

I don't know if it's like what I'm seeing for everyone, but it's how I just described. Seriously see no odds just a grey bar where the odds should be.

The inability to resize while viewing on mobile forces the user to scroll too much for the games.

There's not much more to go into detail on this. Sorry to be harsh but I'd rather not have a bunch of changes for this. It misses the mark.

But hey what's interesting we have not seen any people review the new version and say positive comments about it. In 2 threads now. You say that people have asked for this, but where are those people taking the time to comment what they like about it???

    probably not, Mr. Gold

can I ask a few questions?

could we have you / or any mod tell us the complete list of reasons what was wrong with Classic View? What specifically was being requested? If it's only 1-2 main things - then is it really necessary to make the changes?

What does SBR believe has been gained with the New Version?

Have they hired HurryUpAndDrink as the programmer?

I assumed that this is the reason some ppl don't prefer the new version, because of having to scroll to see different books & lines.

It personally doesn't bother me & like matchups & everything in one place.

Nobody wants to answer these for some reason. Can we get a concrete answer from the mods on \*WHY\* this is being forced upon the users?

Pinching and zooming on a website is sort of like still using a beeper =). Websites that aren't mobile optimized will not be ranked as highly on Google, and we need new users on the website to continue to grow and be able to improve our products. We are already seeing a large % of mobile users compared to the Classic site, which was limited to one sport at a time, and did not give players access to all of the same data as desktop.

That being said we appreciate that change is not easy especially when coming from a product as great as the Classic SBR Odds. Those of you on the site for years will recall the move to the Classic View (from the original odds with the sportsbook logos flipped vertically) was not received well at all. It takes time to get used to a new product.

Regarding not seeing game odds on the page, can you share a screen capture? What phone are you using and browser?

The code base of the Classic site was quite old. It was not scalable to build onto and add the new features you see and will see on SBR Odds, including futures, props, even other sports like horse racing, golf, NASCAR racing. Then features such as a bet tracker (auto grading on the way), bet slip, favorites, etc. Not to mention, if you track play-by-play and odds updates, SBR Odds will almost always outperform the Classic site by a few, very valuable seconds.

I think the best thing that SBR can do is create an app for their odds for people to download on Google play.

Trying to create something on a web page and to make it useable on mobile is too difficult. Creating an app for download and calling it SBRodds I think is the way to go.

Good post. An app has a lot of advantages, including the ability to push notifications on line changes even if the browser isn't running. It is an area we're very interested in.

Thanks for explaining the reasons for the changes. I appreciate knowing the thought process.

As for the screen capture, I'll try to get one posted here later. Samsung Galaxy phone using Firefox browser.

New Version does work "ok" on pc computer. I'm using it right now and been trying it for a couple nights.

But on mobile phone for me, sorry again there's no nice way to put it. I/others do not like how the sizing is static so that you can only see 1 game at a time without scrolling, when on landscape view (phone sideways).

Mobile on portrait view (phone held regular), can see 2 games at a time.

The odds don't show up on mobile for me at all. There are light-gray color bars in each column where the odds numbers should show. What my screen capture would illustrate is it looks like when the page launches and there is a slight pause before the odds populate into the column....but on mobile the odds never do show-up for me. Also the name of the books never show up, just gray bars there also.

A couple nights ago, none of the links were working that could be clicked on mobile, but tonight they do seem to be working.

Why doesn't SBR just add a h2h link with the classic version with a new UI?

Would make everyone happy. Seriously tho h2h is sweet info, but really the classic version is superior.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.
