There used to be a lot of great games when Bite, Tat, Miller, SteveK, Rudy, Triple, me and a few others would play about every night. Most of us kept at least 5k in points for Poker and we would also play our rollovers but we wouldn't hit and run once we rolled them over. Some nights we would have 6-8 guys playing 2/4, 3/6, or 5/10 with full buy-ins and nobody was rolling over. We would play for several hours and shoot the shit in the chat.
The poker died when those guys either left or quit playing for whatever reason.
There aren't enough quality poker players left to support decent cash games that:
A. Have enough points to play 2/4, 3/6, or 5/10. Ability to cash out points for bitcoin has caused some of this.
B. Are willing to risk points that aren't just rollovers
C. Are afraid to play Omaha Hi or Holdem and take any risk. They would rather play Omaha hi/lo and try to split pots.
I would like to see some tables where the minimum buy-in is 50 BB's. There is nothing worse than the rare occasion that we get a 2-4 handed game going with full buy-ins for an hour or so and all players at 200-500 bb's deep then 2-3 jackasses show up with 20 bb's and start shoving preflop between two big stacks. This usually ends the game.
Get rid of the Hi/Lo games and make the guys rollover on Omaha Hi or Holdem tables or at least require them to buy-in with 100 BB's on the hi/lo tables.
