so 6am this morning my wife and I hear loud knocking and banging on the door. We immediately jump out not knowing what is going on. First we think it's our door, so of course we check on the kids and they are sleeping so that good....
so I go to my front door and no one is there, but it's bright outside, so I glance outside and see 5 unmarked cars and 10+ people walking around the house directly across the street from me. So at this point I go outside to see what's going on.
All the guys have either state police jackets or FBI jackets on. Also, I notice no guns are out, so I assumed it was safe to walk outside with no guns drawn.
A few minutes later, a guy from FBI sees us and lets us know we are safe and kids are safe, they are finalizing a long term investigation. 10 minutes later, 2 woman in the house are taken out in handcuffs.
FBI tell us they have been looking for them for a while now and everyone is safe.
Below is a link to the charges against them. Apparently the house was a meeting spot for their cult.
section 6 talks about what they were doing.........Promoting, enhancing and protecting the Enterprise bycommitting, attempting and conspiring to commit crimes, including but not limited toidentity theft, harboring ofaliens for financial gatr, extortion, forced labor, sex tra{hcking, money laundering, wire fraud and obstruction ofjustice

it's crazy because our neighborhood is pretty quiet and there's a decent amount of space between houses. I have lived at my house for just about 4 years and I only talk to 1 neighbor who is to my left. I have seen these people who were arrested but only to like get the mail. Never spoken to them and again rarely even see them. They were the type of people who put NO TRESPASSING signs on their driveway which no other house has again due to it being a quiet area and enough space b/t houses yet these ppl put that sign up.
They always had luxury cars rolling in and out of the house, so it does make sense, but it's just crazy that this was all happening literally right across the street from my family. You just never know.
