    Should Nebraska make the tournament?

Nebraska wont be in the tournament. Is the Big 10 really down that much this year? 22-10 record and 13-5 in the Big 10 usually would be an automatic bid. I have a hard time believing that the Big 10 is really THAT BAD this year. Thoughts?

They should be talent wise, but probably won't get in. Too bad...

I didn’t watch them much but they were solid all year as far as I could tell. Doesn’t matter either way because they probably wouldn’t make it past the first or second round.

Only one good win, over Michigan, and a couple of bad losses in the preseason will prob keep them from getting in. Prob one of the last 4 out.

Kinda crazy when you think that if their 1 pt loss to Kansas was a 1 pt win then they would be in. Its not like they were gonna make a final 4 or anything. I just think they deserve to be in. BUT a #1 seed in the NIT gives them a better shot playing more games I guess.

I do think the Big 10 was down significantly this year. Minnesota absolutely fell of the face of the Earth, Northwestern regressed, Maryland had several impact injuries and Wisconsin somehow put a team on the floor that couldn't hit an open 3 to compliment their beast post player.

It is too bad as it is a good story and I think Miles is a good coach.

Absolutely not! They have exactly 1 quality win all season - Michigan at home. They had a chance to get in the tourney by simply beating the Wolves again and they got crushed! There are much more deserving teams out there. They'll be a top seed in the NIT... so they have that going for them...

Ya, if they could have pulled that win off against Kansas it would have went a long way for them. But as other have said schedule was weak. The games they had a chance to so called "wow" the committee they lost. They did beat Michigan but even that is overshadowed by the handful of terrible losses. Good season for them but when stacked up next to other being considered they pretty much have zero chance as these other teams have several big wins. Like you said, NIT will be good for them. They are playing well and should have a good chance to make a run.

    What are their good wins?

I think they have one win over a ranked team.

You think not beating Kansas was the clincher? Say they still did not beat Kansas, but actually beat Illinois, instead of losing by 6, are they in then? Illinois I think is the painful one for them, much more than not beating Kansas.

No chance Nebraska dances. They are using the quadrant system this year rather than wins vs RPI top 25, 50, etc. Nebraska is 1-6 in quadrant 1 games, that is beyond terrible. RPI is 64, to dance you want to be under 50.

Nebraska got blown out by St. John’s and lost to UCF.

They have a decent record but only one solid win.

Well getting routed by St Johns earlier in the season when they were shit didn't help either.

Do we take St. John's over Georgetown? St. John's still seems like the best team in the country after their episode a couple weeks ago...IDK

Their ATS prowess is mighty impressive but beyond that they're just another faceless, middling team in a vast sea of faceless, middling teams. Michigan in the conference tourney was a de facto play-in and they faceplanted.

Undefeated in league play at home, but somehow managed to avoid Mich St, Purdue and Ohio St. I think they did enough personally, but instead theyll let a Big 12 team who went 8-10 in conference in over Nebraska.

Why wouldn't they? Those teams faced a schedule 20 times as hard and actually won against top competition. Put it this way, ISU, a team that finished 4-14 in the Big 12 still has wins over Texas Tech and West Virginia. So ISU has more quality wins then Nebraska and they finished dead last. So now you take any of those teams that are 8-10 and triple the quality wins just in conference. There is no comparison. Its who you beat, not all about who has the most wins.

I mean I guess when you have double the opportunities to get good wins, you will win more quality games right?

You inadvertently just made a stronger case for Nebraska being out. "Double the opportunities to get good wins" = playing in a much stronger conference.

Personally I have been down on Nebraska all year as they overachieved relative to their metrics. One of those teams that illogically kept covering games ATS that they should not have. But don't take my word for it, they rank in top 40 out of 351 teams in "Luck" on Pomeroy.

    Sorry...Nebraska is out. Not worthy.
4 teams probably from the BIG10. Weak conference this year.
Pedo St not worthy either. #80 RPI
