play cards, and see eye to eye .
Id get some smiles out of you and even a few laughs
Then we would get more wasted.
Id start bringin up ways to get other drugs
id end up leaving to grab those drugs
the little bond we started to have would wear off as I was away no longer in your direct presence
by the time I came back I would of already did most of the drugs on the car ride back
accuse you of setting the deck while I was gone even before we resumed the card playing
You would remain calm tell me im fukked up and to leave it be, id calm down too
We'd eat together , some sort of cheap takeout ...
Id think everything was going good in my drug induced coma
thats when the sling blade would connect with the back of my head

but in the postseason they bat .200 with zero RBI production
then you have guys like what David Freese did ... and what happened during the reg season means nothing
all that matters is what happens in a handful of at bats when it really counts
and for that.... David Freese is one of my fave Cardinals of all time
