How about those Astros?? They have hit a double in 60 straight games!
Some teams get shut out or get only 1 or 2 hits in a 60 game streak. Hell even with 5 hits there are no guarantees that one of them is a double. And I am not talking about at least a double, i mean an actual double. No wonder why they have an 18 game lead. The All-Time record for leading by July 31st is 19 games.
Meanwhile little known Marwin Gonzalez has a 11 game hitting streak but perhaps more importantly he has reached base in 31 straight games! Gonzo is only hitt .322 this year with 19 him
