If you count the playin game as playoffs then yes. I don't know who else you would put in beside them?

Indians, balty, Red Sox, Houston, Seattle yanks are the only teams that have a shot at the playoffs. These other teams are garbage

Not enough starting pitching. Tanaka and Sabathia are ticking time bombs.

It's a long summer for that pitching staff but knowing that front office, they'll grab a starter or two at the deadline for some minor league guys. Injuries are the only other concern, I wonder how long Judge's knees will last thru a full season. He's young but that's a lot of weight to carry, especially running around the outfield.

He's talking American League teams and I see it the same possibly Seattle in the mix if they get it together.

Tillman still to come back for the O's, Red Sox will have a good record come playoff time. One of those two should beat NY for the AL east but the Yankees should be in the mix for the wild card.

No respect for the Yankees. They got the best record in baseball. The youngest talent of any team. Aaron Judges knees giving out? He just turned 25 not 35. Definitely World series contenders. It will be like the late 90's again. They will probably win 3 or 4 championships in a row. The Yankees know how to develop young talent. And I am sure they will get a star pitcher later on in the season. They already have good young pitchers already in Pineda and Severino.

yankees are off to their best start in 50 years. if they need another starter, they will get one. they are a lock to make the playoffs. houston and baltimore also locks. cleveland more than likely will win central and that leaves boston by default as the other wild card team. etch this in stone.

not the same as those ridiculous play-in-games in that overrated ncaa basketball tournament. those 4 teams have zero chance to beat a #1 seed there. at least in baseball the 4 wild card teams have a legitimate shot to advance and win. should be called wild card playoff game not a play-in-game.

I say Judge doesn't make it to 30 before he has a major knee injury. Doesn't matter much, he can DH forever but it'll slow him down, take a little power out of that swing. Yanks definitely in the playoffs.

If Yanks do not make playoffs the dummy Giraldi could be gone

The fact that he only has one WS title with the team that won in 09' should tell you everything you need to know. What a scam

He never had a good team there. Never had pitching like Torre had. Torre had Hof starters.

09 rotation was good. they overpaid for Burnett but thats baseball. an absurd amount of power hitting with a great bullpen and a ace starter should've gotten them more than one

Shows how little you follow the team. Girardi is an amazing manager. He was great with the Marlins, and he's helped the Yanks beat their run differential year after year with his lineups and bullpen management.
