    $1.2M on Tiger Woods

James Adducci has decided to let it ride while he’s hot.

Adducci has placed a $100,000 bet that Woods will win the Grand Slam this year.

If Woods goes on to win the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open and The Open Championship, he’ll cash out for $10 million.

This time he’s getting 100-1 odds, which are long, but not nearly long enough for the achievement he’s betting on.

In his prime, Woods achieved the “Tiger Slam,” an accomplishment complete when he won the 2001 Masters.

The win followed up a 2000 season where he won the U.S. Open, The Open Championship and the PGA Championship, giving him all four major championships at once.

Surely it should be more like 1000/1

10/1 in each event parlayed would equal that.

    Dumb as fuk

As bookmaker accept the world on that bet. Then reach out to other books / risk insurance companies and still make a fortune.

Hell, come to me, I can probably be your salesmen for 10k and get you 12M possible payout if you reach out to enough oddity insurance companies.

Something to consider is the bet is actually 133.33/1 or greater pre-tax win.

He now has a 1.2M income from gambling for 2019. At a minimum, 25% tax rate for gambling winnings. So if he loses, he saves 25% of that 100k as a tax burden, thus his actual cost is really 75k to win 10M.

However, obviously the 10M would be taxed as well.

well theoretically would be tough to bet the 2nd and 3rd legs with betting limits but he is still an idiot obviously.

I read Golf Digest's story on him, the guy is hilariously bad. Dude got lucky investing in amazon stock. They sent his transaction log for stock investing to a professional wealth management firm. He claims to be a daytrader. The investment firm said these are awful, clearly a gambler. LOL

William Hill flew this guy out and wined and dined him. They know he will lose all of that money back, they're just hoping back to them.

I think Tiger can win this weekend but I don't think he wins the Open Championship or the US Open because those are traditionally tougher challenges than what lies ahead this weekend. Something tells me this guy just craves action and attention so it doesn't matter to him that this is a long shot.

when you get close to winning a big future Id expect a book to try and give u a smaller payout option so you can take that or keep pressing your odds thing is the odds are so low on this that even if tiger did win the next slam the books still wouldnt be worried only if he won the next 2 then they would start getting a little antsy but if this feat ever did happen we all expected tiger to do it but a lot of time has been squandered since those thoughts first emerged

He didn't actually lost $100,000. He will be able to offset this loss by paying lower taxes on the winnings he earned previously.
