Spurs will not beat state in a series unless...

They get homecourt or warriors get a big injury.

I don't think anyone besides Goat Milk was predicting Spurs would beat Golden State.

I dont think homecourt will matter, they will need Curry to be injured.

Home court is definitely important but not everything. But I'd agree home court will be more important in the West than in the East.

What would you make the series odds? Warriors -450?

Warriors seemed tired last year in the playoffs. They weren't playing their best basketball which makes it even scarier that they still managed to win (although they caught a few breaks).

Point being, maybe they had tired legs when it was playoff time. I think it's fair to wonder whether they go too balls out in the regular season. Will be interesting to see if the same thing happens this year.

Warriors handled their 2 biggest challengers ( cavs & spurs).. hard to see any team beating them in a 7 game series.

Exactly. It has gotten to the point where beating Warriors just once is a significant milestone. To think that any team could beat them 4 times in 7 games without home court just doesn't seem feasible, even taking into account that the Spurs are an insanely good team themselves.

Either team murders the Cav's, no matter what the Cav's do to turn things around between now and the play offs...

Clippers more of a challenge to the warriors than these 2

Clippers could easily lose in the first round. Every year they're supposed to take that next jump. They never will with this core. Chris Paul will forever be known as a loser, whether that's fair or not.

This game is meaningless btw. Those regular season matchups between the big boys mean close to nothing. Countless examples in just the last few years will confirm that.

I had the Warriors big last night and that doesn't change my prediction for the playoffs whatsoever. Doesn't mean it's a lock in any way though - obviously it will be a tough series should it happen.

San Antonio has a lot of work to do. They got beat by 30 points. That's 100% humiliating.

    Golden State in 5

Kawhii Leonard will have to physically take out Curry in game 1 or Spurs have no shot.

I said cavs cos they will make the final, GSW will have to beat them to win the championship..if clippers were in the east then its a different ball game, but clips have to get past okc, spurs, gsw in the west..and i wouldnt be surprised if they get bounced 1st round

Leonard can guard Curry 1 on 1 but If you set a pick then there is nothing he can do and they get an easy shot

Woopty-do, one game, in January, with Pop clearly not giving a rats as.s about winning it. Everything will change come the playoffs. GSW should still probably win the series (unless OKC upsets SAS), but it will be closer than you think. And injuries can always happen. Curry has been remarkably durable the last 1,5 seasons, but his ankles used to be a lot more fragile before. I wonder what changed. New shoes, a different training routine, PEDs ?

That's nothing. Z.Illgauskas broke his foot about 3 times in his first couple years. Never had a problem thereafter.

The West finals will be far more intense and exciting than the NBA finals.

Hopefully (probably) Spurs v Warriors, but you can't sleep on OKC as a genuine dark horse, with two of the NBA's top 5 players and Kanter is fitting in great for them as well.

I don't understand why so many people are talking up the Clippers? Jordan is over-rated & a liability on offence & both CP3 & J-Crossover are past their primes. Only Griffin is a superstar - but he is possibly done for the season now.
Clippers 0% chance of doing anything useful in the playoffs.

    And LB is right.

Nobody can guard Curry, even the NBA's premier on ball defender (Leonard).

Well it was a fairly big game for home court, but the Spurs still get them at home twice. There is a lot to be settled yet. If you look at the home records of these 2 teams you gotta think home court advantage matters.

Home court matters in most series and most sports the majority of the time..NHL possibly not as big as an edge

Ok so put Leonard on Curry, who are you going to put the little french boy on? Good luck putting Parker on Klay or Barnes.

I just hope Warriors and Spurs meet in the WCF, which will basically be the real finals. No one really talks about the Thunder, do they have a chance? They are probably a good SG away from contending with GS and SA. Sorry but I can't take Waiters/Singler/Roberson seriously. This OKC team has never addressed that position.
