    Best of luck to him. Cowboys offered him $5 million per prior to free agency. Don't think they're interested in going any higher.

    I love the guy, but no RB is worth 8-10 like he's supposedly looking for.

    Murray is really good, but history says paying giant $$ to a back coming off a his biggest workload ever is doomed. I love the guy...but he's just not worth that.

    RBs not worth near what they were as they have become more a product of the offense they are in and specifically the offensive line in front. Very few true game changers at the position. While Suh is paid a boatload and is kind of an ass guy is one of the true gamechangers at his position.

    Now he may take the money and quit giving a crap making dolphins look terrible but guy can seriously affect a gameplan.

    I still think this is all bluff and more from the Murray side trying to drive up his interest and price. He's pissed that more teams aren't drooling over him, but I think most teams are smart here and know he had his career year and is unlikely to earn what he wants to be paid on this next contract.

    Honestly I will be pissed if they overpay and sign Murray. There is no point. They have 2-3 solid runners right now and could add another solid back in the draft for cheap.

    Now if they can sign him for something just above what Dallas offered and not get screwed with guaranteeing too much over the next 2-3 years, then I might change my tune and I'll laugh my ass off. Otherwise, let Murray go play for the Raiders if he wants to get paid or he's got to realize what he's really worth if he wants to play for a team that will sniff the playoff race.

    Running backs are a product of their offensive line for the most part, but Murray is one of the few that has talent beyond that. He's worth more than 5 mil a year. The Boys will be fine since the OL is good right now. Plug and play, just like ol' boy Emmitt...give him a shit OL and he's just an average joe but the Boys paid him. Would be nice for the Cowboys to pay Murray what he deserves.

    Look pal....I've made it abundantly clear here that I love Murray, and that I would love to have him back. But only at a reasonable number.
    Look at history...paying huge $$ to RB's after their biggest years simply never works out. It's just not smart.

    Again, I hope he comes back. But I wouldn't blame him a bit for jumping ship if someone throws him some ridiculous contract. I'd do the same thing.

    I agree. The NFL is a pass happy league now, so the dollars are invested more at QB's, pass rushers, and corners. RB's are not worth big contracts anymore and Opie is correct, he should take the 5 million. Plus he had one of the best O lines in the league to run behind him.

    The McCoy deal is what propelled all of this. If Buffalo doesn't do that new deal, he's already signed. Now it's back to ego & his perceived lack of respect from Dallas & the rest of the league.

    And of course his agent isn't Going to be the voice of reason, he's going to say hell yeah you should get paid McCoy $ or more.
