    NHL play tonight (Non-Canadian) FYI

    I like the Montreal Canadians. -110 @ Heritage/ -111@ 5Dimes



    Here's two things that worry me about the pick    .

    1) PA Parentoe is out with pussitis or whatever and the issue here is power plays and more importantly if the game goes to a shootout. He will be missed if this occurs. A regulation bet may be warranted but I'm not that savvy of a hockey bettor to do this quite yet.


    2) Price has not shown his best against TB. 7-1 beatdown earlier this season and only one win in his last 5 tries against the lightning.


    Here's a few things that make this a play for me.


    1) Lightning on a long road stretch.

    2) Pedestrian numbers on the road, including ppg's, pk's, defense in general.

    3) Line is basically a pickem for a red hot team at home. Lightning have a prolific offense and I think they will always get money when a "+" is involved.

    4) Motivational levels will be strong for both squads (divison/conference title on the line), in theory should produce solid play from both teams.




    Should be a good game, I can't wait

    Booyah very sharp pal. I'm looking at the line movement and realizing that I'm probably making a square play here, but I cannot sleep tonight if I don't make this play. I thought the opening number was a fair line but sharps/hockey experts took that money out of TB so I dunno. Rocket, Nino or others I haven't checked to see if we are on the same side, hope we are

    Price will have all sorts of problems with TB's PP line & he doesn't typically play well vs the Bolts.
    Montreal cannot continue to win at this pace, they will lose tonight
    If Price doesn't show up they could lose by 3+ goals.

    Well I haven't been picking many winners the last few days but I think there's some small value on the NYR in Anaheim. It's almost a mirror of this play yesterday with the exception of the team on the road here. Henrik hasn't been good against the Ducks but they are playing good hockey and they open up a tough west coast trip here. I "expect" a better game than my 4 goal 2nd period TB debacle last night. I'd love to get +120 but it looks like +112 at 5dimes is the best I'll do for now. Thinking perhaps waiting a little longer since it's a late game and Ducks may pick up some steam to give me a better number.


    I really want to play the Caps but I have to be honest that the coaching situation has me concerned. I don't know if the players are happy/ indifferent/ angry etc over Carlyle being gone. I don't know hockey well enough or have the data of coaching changes and the effects. Maybe it makes no difference but I'm going to stay off this one.
