Are the Rockets a serious contender in the LeBron James sweepstakes??

It's gotta be an enticing landing spot for James. I know they are trying to clear room to make another splash in free agency.

James can play with just about anyone and would be great in their uptempo style.

Could Houston pull this thing off?

LeBron James will NEVER, EVER play for a Western Conference team. He loves taking the easy way out. With the exception of Milwaukee, Philly, and maybe Boston pretty much ANY Eastern Conference team he chooses to play for can walk to the Finals.

    ....can't be serious

He has a player option just like Melo and can opt out... all of the big 3 have player options this off-season

    Don't see it happening.
Don't see him going to Clippers either.

Cleveland or sticking in Miami or THE LAKERS! Only say the Lakers, because it's warm and I think he's either somewhere warm or back in Cleveland will be the only "cold" place.

Don't see him on the Rockets, because they have Harden who dominates the ball, Love would be a better fit for them.
Don't see him with the Clippers, because Chris Paul dominates the ball and dishes out assists and Lebron not much of a spot up shooter and vice versa.

Lakers trade the whole team for Lebron and magic johnson comes out of retirement to play with him and then a bunch of scrubs and they lose 1st round to OKC.

Cleveland...makes everyone feel warm inside if he wins there...and by everyone I mean the people from cleveland and the non Lebron haters.

Lebron will never go out West. The path to a championship is easier in the East.

He will still keep his house in Miami just like he kept his house in Ohio

I highly doubt he cares what his 'home' city will be I'm pretty sure hes more worried about adding championships to his name and Miami is not the solution

Probably has to listen to his mom and "wife" on where he will land. He may or may not want them living where his "home" games will be so he gets to spend more time with them, so they will likely have a big say in my opinion. That's why Miami worked out so well. If your his wife or mother and never have to work again and have young kids to take care of, why spend Most of your time in cleveland or any other place where weather is not good year round.

How does Houston have the cap-room for a Lebron or Carmelo? I don't know their salaries, but isn't Harden and Howard both making a lot of money? I know Asik and Lin are both making good money too. Sign and trade? Or can they really sign LeBron straight up?

If they can get LeBron, they would immediately become the front runner in the west next year. I always thought a LeBron and Howard combo would work well. The best perimeter defender and one of the best interior defenders. And it doesn't take a genius to know which big 3 would be better:

    LeBron/Harden/Howard or LeBron/Wade/Bosh

Lebron cannot move to another team other than cleveland. guy would be ridiculed beyond understanding. people would never ever consider him the greatest ever and would only say that he is a mercenary, trophy hunting.

Lebron isn't going back to Cleveland with that current roster. And I doubt he has forgotten what the owner said about him either.

Da Bulls. He can team up with Taj, Noah and Tibs, and see what its like to play on a team with heart and a team capable of locking down opponents.

Lebron wouldn't even consider moving to the West regardless of who the team is. The West is simply too stacked

If they happen to get him or even Melo.

All the pieces if Dwight decides to play.

Can't see him going to Chicago. Every day having to listen to all the Jordan comparisons would drive him crazy I would think. Not to mention who knows if D Rose will ever be the same player, he's messed up his knee twice now.

That's exactly what I've been saying all along. No shot he goes back there as the roster sucks overall when u take away Kyrie and the things Gilbert said back in summer 2010 are unforgivable

He's going to get the comparisons regardless of what city he plays in. He'd be better off if he played right in MJ's backyard and won some titles.
