Benny I like Kobe and think he is absolutely an all time great. But saying he changed the way free agency works is a little ironic considering the nets wanted desperately to draft Kobe and they were told by Kobe "screw you I will go play in Italy like my dad did". How can you criticize Lebron for leaving Cleveland for Miami after playing in the league for years and taking 11 scrubs to the finals but not be critical of a 17 year old kid who refuses to play for a team that wants to draft him?

Kobe was a dick, but he did not tamper, huddle up, and plan to basically rig the NBA like Lebron.
There are no arguments if you're trying to defend him in this spot.
