I first made my first deposit ever for 50$ on a pokersite called Pokerroom.com. You know the big buzz that hit when ESPN aired the WSOP for MoneyMaker. I was still a senior in high-school at the time. So me and a buddy shared an account, I played a 5$ tournament that was a rebuy and I used about 3-4 rebuys. Simultaneously, I got into another game it, was a 22$ buy-in for 25k guaranteed. I caught a streak of hot cards and pots that I was taking down left and right in both games. Short story, I ended up taking first for both games. $324, and $5,000 flat. Then greed kicked, and I wanted to test my luck. I cashed out $3,500 and I was thinking all of the fun things I could/would do with that money in high-school. Anyways, I sat down at a 5-10 table with $1,000. I was catching on the game quick, position, leverage, odds, math so on. So on one hand I squeezed $175 with 4,2 spades. Two guys before me call. The flop, A 5 3, Rainbow. Everyone checks, Turn was an 8. I got the nuts. Anyways, everyone goes all in an I win, I'm sitting at $3000! I go to the next table 25-50 HU with $2,500 and all my buddies are watching me and I feel sweet! The guy's screen name was "irishcurve" about the third hand in I get "AA" I ended up going all in pre-flop. He flips over "88" the flop come 5, 6, 7, and I hold! I just doubled my $2,500 to $5,000. All my buddies are like get out, get out! So I say NO! about 10 hands laters after a bunch of battling I get QJ off suit. He raises 150$ preflop, I make it 500$ he cold calls. The Flop comes 9, 10, 2. He checks, I shove. Two overs, with open ended. He calls. I'm like WTF. He flips over 56 suited spades. The turn comes 8 spades! I hit my straight. Then comes another spade. He wins! Flush. So I get very wary of online poker and that I cashed out my winnings on that site ended up being about $6,000. I get the check, the bank questions me, put a 2-3 week hold on it because it looks suspicious. Everyone hears about what I did, and Senior year I take all my buddies to Virginia Beach for Spring break. I was starting to play poker in the lobby on down-time lol. I knew I could make money! I made about an extra $500 on the trip. Cashed out via NetTeller at the time, which is sweet and I miss e-wallets.
Anways, I kick gambling, and start focusing on football, college. I end up tearing my shoulder in two spots and while I was injured, I started playing heaps of online poker! Winning, winning, winning. I loved the attention and winning.
So I started a new job eventually because I was living with my parents and you know how the story goes. I get a job at the Plain Dealer in Cleveland. I start working, and football season comes around. And my manager goes, "who do you like this week?" I don't know what he is talking about. He is like do you bet sports? I said no. Then he explains what a dog and favorite is to me. I'm like that seems easy. I make my first bet ever through a bookie at work, since I was working for a union. My bet was a parlay for $50 ON Bowling green +35.5 and Notre Dame, I think -12 or something against Navy. I end up winning it. I said we won won, It was $100 ticket split between me and my friend Tim. So whatever, I had to wait until Tuesday to get my winnings and I always wanted action then.
So I made a bet with the bookie with Boston College and Matt Ryan vs Virginia Tech on Thursday Night. College +3. I said for $500. The bookie took it. I win, I go to work Monday and I'm told will I have the money for tomorrow to pay up? I'm like what do you mean pay-up? I won my bet. So they told me I took Virginia Tech and blah blah blah. Cowards. Eventually I paid the bookie with the winnings already and settled the debt for $200. Then I said penetrate bookies. I had a short experience with them and never went back.
Then Full-tilt, poker stars kicks in. I win and lose, win and lose. Roller Coaster. Now at 20 years old me and my friend go an apartment. We did nothing but played poker. So then one day while playing poker, I was looking up sportsbetting sites. I started at Bookmaker.com, they also had a poker, which I liked. I deposit $100.00 about 8 times in a row because I kept losing. Then comes baseball season. And I loved the RL. I deposited another $100 and got it up to about 600$. Played poker and got it up about $3,000. Then I let my friend take over pokerstars and full-tilt cause I'm crushing. I get up to about 7,000$. I cash out $5,000. Then I started to get email from new sites. Someguy called me from BetPhoenix offering me a 100% cash bonus. Couldn't beat it at the time. I did little research about any books and didn't care about the grades. I make my deposit. Lose, "Hey, we have the same deal running" I say okay. Lose. I keep chasing. I said fukk it and start going into parlays. Low and behold I hit a 10 team mixed parlay for $22,000. I'm like woo! Then I cash out 5k the max at the time. Got the check, everything good! I placed a $2,500 parlay with Nugs, Blazers and some other team. It hit for $7,500. The $2,500 was way best their limit, however they were going through software update at the time and ended up paying me. So I eventually get it up to 41K. Then I start getting reckless and lose and betting out of my realm. 41K eventually turned into 15k. And I ended up cashing out about 11k more. so I made like 16K.
Next book. BetJamaica, because I've been finally starting to look around. Whatever, I was never a really winning player there. Me and Scotty would talk once in a while and he would even take bets from me when my account was at 0 and I told him I would send money later. He was awesome and never had a problem about. BetJamaica closes down. Then I get some bogus email from Heritage and I avoid it. Recently just opened my account.
All the gambling I've made a good portion of money and I put the money in bonds, CDs and saved it because I told my parents and they made the smart choices for me.
I move to Florida. So time goes by gambling, I try a site called BetIslands. Ben called me gave me a 150% cash bonus. This was last year for the football season. I lose $500 right away on Saturday. Re deposit up for week 1 NFL. I KILLED it again I turned $500 into $6,000 with a few one clock parlays and then 4 o clock. The week comes, I'm at 26k from NFL, NBA, Tennis, and NHL. I start to bet things I never really followed and was winning just on stats and looking into "beyond the game" if you will. Anyways. I called BetIslands to take my bet on the Packers ML vs Seattle. I bet Packers for 7k and lose obviously. I also had Packers 2h which saved me some. I cashed out that Monday and got one check for $5,000 and following week so on. I got another $5,000. And then eventually I requested another payment and never got it. I was breaking even for those weeks. And I never saw the rest of money.
Now I'm here today. Ask me anything you want.
