Is there a better sports city than Boston?

Im an Aussie. Been working in Boston for the last 5 years and I love the city to death. But all bias aside, I pose the question, is there a better sports city than Boston? I think not? We got the Patriots who are a top 4 team every year, we have the Bruins who are just awesome, we've got the Celtics who are ageing yet give us a show for our money and we have the Red Sox. Enough said. No other city is as good as Boston. What a town to be a sports fan!

I hate boston and its fans. They are the epitome of bad sportsmanship. The word sportsmanship and boston do not belong in the same sentence. Fukk boston.

    Yes, I am from NY.

You want to know where the best sports teams are from or what the best sports town is? Two very different questions. Boston maybe not in top 5 sports towns but NE certainly successful sports franchises lately.

I would like to think that the SF/Bay Area is a good sports area. There are the Warriors in Oakland (best homecourt in NBA imo), SF Giants who have won 2/3 World Series and have a beautiful park, SF 49ers great seasons the past few years and getting a new state of the art stadium in Santa Clara, SJ Sharks who make the playoffs regularly but then choke lol. Not to mention the weather in the bay is among the best in the country.

Any fan you ask will say their area.

Boston is up there with the best. Cities go through eras of greatness. Detroit was the best sports city in the US mid 2000's but now is meh. Tigers/Wings/Pistons were all playing great. Goes in cycles up and down.

    Chicago.

The answer to "best" when relating it to an American city (although it applies world wide) is Chi-Town.

We're so good at being fans, we don't even require you to win anymore. Providing a good out for debauchery is all the Cubs are now - and we love them all the same.

Is that why the Blackcocks couldn't broadcast games 7 years ago because no one would show up? Or the crowd booing them in a game 7? Which one?

Chicago fans are allowed to boo their team. We treat them like family.

If some schmuck from Detroit decides they want to get cheeky and agree with me that one of the Chicago players is shit - that wont fly.

And, I am sure the perfection that is Boston sports is completely positive to their teams 100% of the time. There was a long time where Boston fans didn't know how to go to a game without booing. There was a corny movie about it in the 90's, Cetics fans.
