    Welker: Short Man Syndrome

    "An angry male of below average height who feels it necessary to act out in an attempt to gain respect and recognition from others and compensate for his abnormally short stature."

    The very first Colts game I attended was the 2007 game vs the Patriots. It was the final season in the old RCA Dome in Indy. The same field that the Colts had beaten the Patriots on earlier in the year in January to go to the Super Bowl.

    This game was on November 4th, 2007. Hyped up beyond belief as both teams were still undefeated.

    Awesome game. Got to witness a bit of history as the Pats were destined to comeback to win that game and end up 16-0, then 18-0 before their "Giant" loss.

    Now, back to Mr. Welker. He made a catch (wide open, not hard) to seal the win in the game and run out the final 2 minutes. I was located behind the endzone that was closest to him. I still remember that the crowd was fired up, but as SOON as the play was made on 3rd down, everybody knew that was the clincher... the dome fell silent in a second. I still swear to God that I heard this little man's scream!

    I had respected him up until that point in time. Instantly I knew I didn't like him when I heard what I did and then had other people around me say yes, they heard the same exact thing. Something was off about him from that point in time.

    Since then, it's funny how he is now a 2x SB loser...his injury in 2009 derailed the team's playoffs chances as Randy Moss would be shutdown and Brady couldn't adapt. Also... very ironic how he screams profanity after making an easy catch to win a regular season game, yet...when he can't haul in a tougher pass in the latest SB in clutch time he gets what he deserves, with both Patriot fans and non-Pat fans wanting to place more blame on him than his quarterback for the failed play

    and yet, all he has to say is this



    Well, Welker... this is what I have to say to you.

    YOU F UCKING SUCK!!!




    Maybe if you weren't so short you could have made that catch

    and here is an extra present for you anti-Patriot guys: Pats after losing to the JETS @ home in the playoffs.

    it was a good one, I tried to get to the AFCCG but tickets were NUTS and I was still a college student at the time. Still glad I got to hit up the RCA Dome at least once. I still vividly remember how hearing this man yell profanity made me more upset than actually coming up short! <---

    Still a talented WR, made better with his HOF QB.

    I love Welker and the level of play he brings to NE. Can't discredit a guy for being passionate...that's all the more reason to love someone of his calibur. He has heart.

    Why do you assume this? You can't find the irony & comedy in his own words and then someone using his own words against him when he was the one who failed on a play.

    I was at the game next year too and also in 2009 when the Colts made the 17 point 4th quarter comeback victory with a last second TD pass from Manning to Wayne (best game EVER)

    I just dislike Welker and figured I would share the origin point. Will Patriot fans come in and try to defend him? I wan't to see. Why can't he make that catch and walk off the field knowing the game was won? Be classy. I don't remember hearing Peyton Manning or Reggie Wayne yell profanity towards the Pats defenders after Manning zipped a game winning pass to Wayne in the 2009 game with 10 seconds left.
