    This will hurt some, but I'm done with 5dimes..need a recommendation.

    Probably the only book that I have won a decent amount at. There comes a time when a business should treat their customers with civility and respect and that line was WAY crossed today. I know a lot of you have been subjected to piss-poor treatment, but I half-believed that a number of you must have brought it upon yourselves. Sure, chat can be incompetent, but I always worked around that and have had positive experiences working with Armando--still think he's a good guy. Well, I did not even remotely provoke the kind of treatment I received today. So, I'll be taking my money out in the next couple of weeks and will be searching elsewhere.

    I need some suggestions on where to go. I have a Legends account, but I can't see this being my primary book...hate the late lines, poor odds, etc. Bookmaker the route to go? For me, it's all about MLB and NHL. I do not bet basketball or football, but on rare occasions. I do not care about bonuses, outside of reduced juice, but that's long gone. I prefer p2p. Where are you guys playing bases at this year?

    Or is time I find a local? Never liked this route, especially if I decide to wager decent amounts on low volume games. Seems very risky.

    I don't see how any of the details I provided, which were very generic, could pin this post or my handle to a specific client of theirs. I can't say anything negative about my ability to receive funds from them and I don't expect to have any hiccups going forward.

    I did not copy and paste chat, but I will tell you this, any book offshore that has a decent amount of my funds, I make damn sure not to piss them off. CS was throwing some innappropriate diggs my way and I remained civil, because I want my cash out. I wouldn't post them until after I received my funds, anyway.

    There must be an ugly culture in there that leaves so many of the staff we get to deal with believing all customers are the enemy.

    Don't cut off your nose to spite your face though. Just move some of your play elsewhere until you find some place you like. No need to take some personal stand that they won't care about and only inconveniences you.

    Can someone educate me as to the relationship between Sportbet and 5dimes? How are they separate from each other..I know you can log-in to your 5dimes account via Sportbet. Same lines too. Same company, different name? Marketing tactics?

    the nicer they treat you the shittier the book.

    If you're winning at 5 dimes I would forget about this and stay.

    If your taking a moral stand on 5dimes, I would stay away from sportbet, but I do not know their actual relationship, but I've been under the assumption that sportbet is just a skin for 'em.

    Sometimes you just have to suck it up & put up with poor customer service. Would you pay $8.00 for a pair of socks @ Macy's when you can get the same pair of socks @ Wal-mart for $3.50?

    Wish there was a reputable book that cared about all ends of its business model. Hope to God someday this gets legalized and CR books are forced to jump through hoops to keep our business. Wish this were a free market.

    Costa Rican Books would disappear in about 15 minutes if they legalized internet gambling in the US. If I had an audited, regulated place that I could take to court if they didn't pay me, I'd be there in a second.

    always liked bookmaker and heritage for mlb due to the fact they offer 1st 5 inn and 2nd half as well..plus heritage lets you buy/sell runs and play teasers, but their limits are smaller than bookmaker.

    Always confused why people seem to always have these endless problems with seemingly decent books. Ive dealt with every A and B book around and almost never have to even deal with CS except for the most minor of issues once in blue moon.

    You can NOT have simultaneous accounts at 5 Dimes and Sportbet, so they are out. Since you bet MLB, you may consider DSI because of dime lines. They also offer three-way NHL lines, which is like betting first 60 mins at 5 Dimes only with Tie option added.

    Yes! More regulation. That's always the answer. What are you going to take them to court for, bad CS that's what's in question here, not 5dimes swindling his funds. Anyways, you don't think Vegas can give guys the run around come payout time?

    Likely tony just got tired of subsidizing OP's theatre rooms. This happens. You think regulation will fix this? You think being able to sue casinos on US soil wont force them to factor that into the line so your playing .40 cent openers? Think again.

    After 5 Dimes ,DSI/Bookmaker, Heritage, Legends the only places I'd consider being a US guy.

    Was it poor customer service on an issue or are they hassling you with limits or is it a money withdrawal issue? Maybe you can't answer yet but anxious to know.

    Bookmaker is not going to be the best option for baseball. BetDSI (their sister operation) has better lines. I play at both Bookmaker and 5Dimes, and shop between the two for the better line

    You seem like a good guy Element. Let me know if you want my locals contact info. He has pretty high settle up, but is solid as a rock (1k min settle). Also offers a monthly cocktail party in Dallas for all his customers if you're near.

    it was actually because they stiffed me out of the ufccontest winnings - being emailed multiple times to join a contest that i won and then was told was ineligible for (because of a random, unfair rules change) really pissed me off

    the three best options for a US'er

    3rd best= YouWager (best of the 20cent books, all things considered)

    2nd best = 5dimes (the only 10-cent book)

    Best= BOTH of them (see Optional's and I/O's comment...stupid to deprive yourself of Walmart prices for the rest of your life...cuz a salesman was rude)

    BTW, for sportsbook advantage/disadvantage "look before you leap" consideration ...you really gotta lurk the "Sportsbooks & The Industry" sub-forum threads...

    Again, appreciate some of the suggestions and I am thinking of trying out youwager for a small amount today. I know there are locals here, but I think the volume on betting baseball is so low that I can't see it being a good thing. I do not live in a baseball or hockey city...it's all basketball and football here. I can't win ATS longterm...I'd be up a greater amount at 5dimes if I hadn't tried.
