    Haha gee I wonder why...

Ok so I was chatting with Shari and she's implying that it just isn't right that we let the kids have scary movie night the past few years on New Years Eve, what do you guys think?

This year they voted Planet of the Apes (all of them I guess) as the movie list for tonight, so on the bright side Cass won't be sleeping in our bed for the next week...

Good Morning Nos, I was just curious what others thought. Planet of the Apes was decided the other day...

Usually let the younger of the twins pick out the horror movies, but I think she enjoys a little more mentally twisted ones than the rest of the house...

This is the one from last year that sent Cass into terror mode for awhile

Fingerprints is based on an urban legend out of Abilene, Texas that centers around a school bus full of children that was involved in a terrible accident with a train leaving all the children dead. According to the legend, if a driver stops his or her car, in neutral, on the same stretch of tracks now, the ghosts of the children will push it to a safe area. Some of the townspeople in the film even claim to have discovered fingerprints on the back of their cars after being pushed off the tracks (The writers of this film grew up in Texas around a similar legend).
The movie centers around a teenage girl, Melanie (Pipes), who has just finished rehab. She moves to her family's new home in the town of Emerald, where her father is a part of the crew constructing a highway over the old train tracks. Her sister, Crystal (Cavallari), tells her of the legend and she begins seeing the ghost of Julie, one of the dead children and becomes more and more involved in mysterious occurrences in the town.[1]

That's why I didn't argue about the apes.

If you want the most f'd up movies around just ask me and I will have my daughter hunt them down for you...

Seriously she loves this stuff. She was sitting there with me laughing at Children of the Corn - then again most of us in the room were as well it's just not as scary as it use to be...

The girls recently went to a Scout event where they got to use to ghost hunting tools and "ghost hunt" in an old hospital.

It was a neat little experience for them and they did seem to have fun, these are the kinds of kids I have here. The original point when they were younger was, not everything is as scary as it seems.

Try being a kid, in an old house, out in the country surrounded by corn fields...

Now THAT will mess with you...

Wanted to wait and show it to the kids on a projector on the side of my mom's barn when they had corn planted in the surrounding fields, but my husband didn't think it would be as funny as I did...

HAha I don't do haunted houses. I have a thing against the ones where they will reach out and grab at you. It just pisses me off...

I can see her point though. I really can.

Mine are older than her's though and a lot of it would depend on whether you actually like scary movies or not. I don't like most of them but psychological ones I do enjoy now and then.

Might be, or could just be the fact that we enjoy those kinds of movies and she isn't as big of a fan.

It's all in how well kids handle them too
