    (5 dimes post dated my new check) beantown isnt happy

    BOYS I GOT MY NEW CHECK TODAY FROM 5 DIMES BUT I HAVE TO ASK THIS QUESTION WHY IS IT POST DATED UNTIL NOVEMBER 11TH WHAT THE F-CK IS UP WITH THIS

    THE 11TH IS A SUNDAY WICH MEANS THIS CHECK CANT EVEN GO INTO MY BANK UNTIL NEXT WEEK ON MONDAY THE 12TH THEN I HAVE TO WAIT AGIAN AND CROSS MY FINGERS THIS ****** CHECK WONT BOUNCE.

    WHY WOULD 5 DIMES SEND ME A NEW CHECK THATS POST DATED UNTIL SUNDAY NOVEMBER 11TH AND ANOTHER ******* CHECK THAT WILL HAVE PROBABLY A 10 DAY HOLD ON IT.

    post date on a check means nothing, a bank will take it now (it may bounce) but the bank will take it.

    once a check is written and signed it is assumed good, and is legal tender.

    I DONT DEAL WITH POST DATED CHECKS I KNOW THE BANK WILL TELL ME TO DEPOSIT IT ON THE 12TH.YOU CANT PUT A CHECK IN THE BANK UNTIL THE DATE OF THE CHECK WHAT THE F-CK I CANT DEPOSIT THIS IN MY ACCOUNT ON THE 8TH WHEN ITS MADE OUT FOR THE 11TH

    MAYBE 5 DIMES IS WAITING FOR ALL THE SUCKERS TO LOSE ON SUNDAY THEN THEY WILL HAVE THE FUNDS TO COVER MY CHECK ON MONDAY MORNING

    I JUST DONT KNOW WHY I CANT GET THIS ISSUE RESOLVED

    No it's not. He won't be able to cash it. It's the same reason payday loan lenders can't charge u with bad check because a post dated check doesn't hold in court because it is assume funds are not available

    Banks are allowed to cash post-dated checks because, according to the law, it is too hard for the banks to look at every check they cash in a single business day. Banks process up to 45,000,000 checks every day.
    The bank is only supposed to cash "properly payable" checks, meaning checks that have the right signature. Checks being cashed against overdrawn accounts and post-dated checks are legal for presentation at the payee's bank.

    It's up to a bank teller's discretion to run a post dated check through. I have an idea... just deposit it in your Bank's ATM. That will work.

    Every time I've received a post dated check... a bank teller wouldn't cash it.

    in mass you cant cash a post dated check.. however the bank will take it the business day before the actual date on the check.. good luck getting this cashed.. been reading your updated.. its a joke you are going on 50 days or so for 2700... i can even fathom that

    I've post dated a check in the past and ask my buddy not to cash it on so and so date. Sure enough he went straight to the bank, and money came out of my account. That was about 5 years ago at Wells Fargo.

    I expect Beantown could get the check cashed for the single reason he plays golf with the mayor.
