    Is Joe Buck one of the top athletes of the 21st century?

    I have him up there with the elite.

    Quick recap:

    The guy broadcasts this afternoon's New York Giants/San Francisco 49ers football game. As soon as it's over, he hops in a cab, and with less than a half-an-hour prep time he is calling Game One of the NLCS.

    His vocal cords will be on the air over six hours, covering two different highly rated sports, and he is flourishing with the utmost professionalism.

    Step aside Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders, Joe Buck is the new star in town.

    Good announcer. Father was great. Tim McCarver on the other hand is downright awful! (and he hopped on one of those trollies after the 9ers game).

    I don't mind Joe Buck, but Tim McCarver has really gotten bad the last few years. Another guy who's really lost it is Dick Stockton. I can't believe they're still wheeling that corpse out.
